    to be fair, June was a pretty decent month up here. I don't do averages, so I don't know where it stood compared to average. we had 2 very cool days with highs of 61.5 and 64.6, but we did have 9 days with temps at or above 90. and we only got less than 1.5" of rain. I'd say it was warmer than normal, with some very hot days (high of 97.3)

    torch!??? my lowest 3 high temps since July 1: 58.6, 64.9, and 68.9. Highest temp was 86.9. that's not a July you tell your grandkids about.

    a few years ago while snowmobiling somewhere up north, we came across a smaller tree across the trail, looked pretty fresh. Sure enough, there was a beaver running down the trail just behind it with a big branch in its mouth. Cute, but destructive little fockers.

    i have the Ambient weather WS-1001-WiFi and it works great. under $200 and very easy to set up and connect to wunderground. It's all wireless, you could mount the station to your deck railing. Wouldn't get @dendrite approved accuracy, but still get a good idea of temp and rainfall.

    uh, if I dont take huge bites and chew thoroughly, i won't choke on my food. if i walk down the sidewalk and pay attention (and not staring at my phone), chances are pretty good i won't get hit by a Car. if I don't jump out of a plane with a potentially faulty parachute, i can prevent that nasty skydiving accident

    i got rid of my 10k btu beast last fall, just can't muscle it up to the attic anymore. I replaced it with a Midea u-shaped window unit, also 10k. that thing is the nuts. Super quiet, and very efficient. It also doesn't block out the entire lower window like the old one did.
