    you aren't kidding. The company that installed mine charges $65 for closing, and they are in and out in 10 mins. they can probably bang out 20-25 systems a day no problem.

    i can't stand how early they winterize. no threat of a deep freeze for at least a month. i do mine myself, rent the big compressor, makes it an easy job. I just have to wait until all the contractors return the rentals-early Nov works for me.

    peaking right around Columbus Day weekend should make the leaf peepers happy. traffic is going to be insane.

    don't dethatch in the spring, you never should. that will just open space for crabgrass to take hold. also, since you just put down grass seed, some of that seed will be sprouting next spring. and yes, you cannot seed in the spring if you are going to use crabgrass control

    you're screwed. it's probably too late to save. Better off waiting till spring and spreading grub killer. After a few weeks, rototill it and start over again.

    just can’t keep up with the grass growth this year. mowing twice a week in the spring is normal, not in freakin September

    i AM a fatty who drinks too much beer. my doc wanted me to go on statins for the past several years, but i was able to control the cholesterol with a better diet. Then I had a bit of a scare earlier this summer, as my BP was off the charts. I caved and started on the statins, and also on BP medication. feeling much better now though, so I got that going for me.

    Glad it's working for you! i recently started on statins as well. follow up blood test is next month, would really like to see the Tri #s go down.

    my avg temp in Aug was 73. so far in Sept, it's 67. I'd say that's a change.
