a bit of a chill in the air today while mowing the acorns.

managed to get a little yard work done today, high of 68 but was pretty humid. 0.05” rain since 4pm

i can't sleep without AC. last night would have been horrible, as my house stays wicked hot. Not to mention the fog outside, had windows been open everything would have been wet. No thanks.

@WinterWolfHave ever been to this? NH Grass Drags and Watercross 45,000 people and all things snowmobile.
I went several years ago. it’s a great time (when it’s not super wet and muddy)

got down to 42 here. coldest of the season to date

I saw two big wooly caterpillars over the weekend.
One was all black with no brown stripe at all (crappy winter). The other was almost all brown with just a tip of black on both ends (good winter). They cancel each other out=average winter.
Tons of acorns (good winter). Bee hives not high up but in the ground (crappy winter). They cancel each other out=average winter.
that's my scientific analysis.

Scott has been towing the crappy weather line all summer, and now into the fall. Dude needs a 30 inch coastal within the next 4 months or he's gonna swan dive off of the Tobin.
based on his posts over the last several days, he is already standing on the railing with one foot over the edge.

Fascinating critters. They are actually non-aggressive and prefer not to spray unless necessary. Great pest control and fun to watch as long as you keep your pets away. Most mammals won't mess with them.
ever been to Marthas Vineyard? that place is seriously infested with skunks. Camped at the campground a few times in the past. once the sun goes down, they invade the campsites looking for scraps. but they never spray. i had one rubbing up against my legs one time, like it was a cat. it was hard to sit still lol

I had the town slightly off. It was at the Castleton in Windham NH. It ended up being a great evening. It was a little breezy during the ceremony but it was sunny and generally pleasant.
and I got Covid, that’s not so great
close enough town-wise. Glad to hear the weather was ok

I have outdoor plans this weekend and would love it to be dry.
Im not convinced down here though, especially with ensemble spread. I wouldn’t be spiking footballs for dry weather yet.
seriouos question-how did that wedding work out last Saturday-in Pelham NH if I remember?
