Definitely a screw job south of here with CON and my parents in Hooksett only around 3” at 7am.
Yup. MHT has a few more than CON. went up to CON this morning when it was barely snowing. roads were perfectly clear.

lucky you!

You wouldn’t be able to tell from the supermarkets in the area. I’m a butcher and my arm is about to fall off.
Fingers crossed that you’re right about them being low.
slicing bread instead of meat? Who was filling the milk jugs?

Thanks Jon, but in looking at that positive depth chart, my house is in the bullseye lol. My wife isn't going to like it, but I'll offer to take the kids....
Jon? I thought @Sey-Mour Snow's name was Seymour Skinner

Hopefully I didn’t trigger any canines with that post. The cc reference was just sarcasm. Please don’t bite me.

As a lifelong skier in New England and the Rockies this is patently false. Not only does overall snow cover help the ski vibe, But more importantly glade and tree skiing is a big part of the mountain for many skiers.
don't agree, but I only ski on trail-I stay the fuck away from trees. too old for that

I know they are making snow. I’m talking about natural. Kind of wild to be riding up the chair with bare ground below. Not good vibes
Skiers don’t really care if there is no snow off-trail. I’ve been 3 times this season and have yet to see any natural snow off-trail.
the difference is that bare ground may keep the tourists at home, but the skiers are going to get their turns in.

With a decent winter pack, maybe we could hold off the Stein talk until at least early April!

Am I the only one still watching the 4th? It is too far SE on the models and has been trending in the wrong direction, but it’s still 4 days out. It’s a long shot, but I’m not writing it off yet.
No, but you are the only one not reading the Popes thoughts on that. he is the only one still giving the PBP on that.

I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about. The 1/7 setup has a high to the north. It’s not advecting in PAC air as it approaches. It would be drawing down air from that high.
Gooseology, not modelology, silly man

Geese.
A. do they predict future weather?
or B. are they reacting to the current weather?
I’ve never seen a goose on TV putting out a forecast, so I’m leaning B. But I could be wrong.

Did my spring cleanup in the yard. ready for summer.
on a more serious note, my way out back is super wet with puddles, soggy ground, and of course, mud. Made it hard to haul the yard waste back there.

Agreed on both posts. Maybe it’s another Rat? I still don’t think so. And I feel it will turn around.
But if it is a rat, last year I got a tad over 12” for the season, I hope I can beat that and go even lower this year If it rats, let’s set a record if it’s gonna suck.
man, last year was a rat up here-until March. I was at <50% of average, but then March hit me with 27" which i didn't want, and brought me to within about a foot of average. it sucks, becuase the numbers really don't tell the story of how bad it really was.
if we are gonna rat (like you did), i want to rat full tilt full time.

Fog didn’t break here until 2pm. temp skyrocketed from 40 to 44
Monitoring first regional significant winter impact event. Magnitude likely tempered. At this time NE PA/SE NY and SNE primarily. Jan 7/8.

that little snow hole over MHT-CON area verified perfectly. it was there on many clown maps leading up to the event. With Brian getting 12+" to the north, and Nashua getting 12+" to the south. MHT ended up with 10", and CON had 8.5" I believe.
I'd be interested to know what the meteorological cause of that little hole was.
