    Lots of people including my family heading up to the mountains between Christmas and NY for skiing. Will or anyone else care to shed some light on what you think of the chances of rain/snow for the resorts, Stratton, Kmart, NH resorts etc. Any washout days? Thanks!

    How’s the Mt. Pocono area looking? Up in the higher spots around 1,700.

    A fast Pac flow can be a good for us if we get the correct PNA orientation out west. If it’s more north to south we’ve had that ripping 200+ jet stream coming down the Rockies spawn plenty of big Gulf lows.

    7am at 20” here in west wardsboro, vt between Stratton and mount snow, 1,800 ft. Expected storm totals by tomorrow afternoon 30-36”.

    Wagons north on NAM. Warm, less precip, even NE cuts back a lot.

    I think at your elevation you’ll do much better. I’d expect a good 8-12” at Searsburg Pass.

    Beautiful morning up at Grout Pond for a hike. Couple inches, clear blue skies and mid 20s. Harpoon Winter Warmer and Citizens the drink of choice.

    I’m also going Ikon with Stratton 12 minutes from me, and planning on Killington, Sugarbush and a long weekend Sugarloaf/Sunday River trip. Might go Epic next year because I’m 8 minutes from Mount Snow and throw in Stowe, Okemo, Hunter etc. Might mix it up. Of course the annual Magic Mountain powder days are a must.

    We are not in a drought. We get a dry month and people throw drought around like it’s the Dust Bowl.

    Based on other projects and also Magic’s resources. The fact that a ski resort hopes to have it done by January says something alone. Next season.

    There is no way that new Magic quad is going to be running this ski season.

    When there is good natural snow, Magic is the best terrain in VT.

    It's not, it melted the next morning. You won't see any snow up there.
