  1. 31.3 at Casa Verde in western McDowell County. And it's a *cold* 31.3. Mercy.
  2. 37.2/23.8 up the hill. I agree. I may hold off filling up the bathtub.
  3. Nice. Love that little part of our world.
  4. Are you just off the Bostic-Sunshine Highway?
  5. I mean, we can't be that far apart distance-wise. I have an almost new Ambient station. I may have a few hundred feet on you in elevation (I'm at ~ 1650). Interesting, for sure.
  6. I hope you're right, given my fondness for electricity and its numerous benefits.
  7. Did I hear thunder this morning, or am I experiencing some kind of cabin fever-induced auditory hallucinations?
  8. That brings back some memories. Saw the Charlie Daniels band there back in the day. \nn/
  9. When somebody lobs you a fat one, you hit it!
  10. Pleasant Gardens (western McDowell Co., NC) High: 48.6 At 11:18p: 38.3 with a dew point of 38.0 NE Wind .7mph .40 in the bucket
  11. This has piqued my interest. Gonna need much more cold air.
  12. Yeah, it's been slow to get started, and looks like we won't get much. That 34 over "McDowell" is my weather station. It's 32.9 here at 10:38p.
  13. Looks like all snow here on my little ridge, but melting as it hits. Water gurgling in the downspouts.
  14. Yeah, not much to show, even though we're getting as much as we've seen yet.
  15. Finally beginning to get some light snow. I was beginning to wonder. I may still wonder yet.
  16. Snowed for 15 minutes on Hoover Mountain behind the house, and then abruptly cleared up. Usually it just rolls on down, but it gave up before it got here. :shouldershrug:
  17. I can see snow developing behind the house (1620 ft. elevation) on Hoover Mountain and Long Ridge, about 1.5 miles from me (~3300 ft. elevation) A bit of very light rain here at the house making it to the ground. Temp dropping. Humidity rising. Love watching it roll in.
  18. Did you?: Temperature-Dewpoint Divide results by 3. Subtract from air temp = wet bulb
