Just checked, and I started at 65 and dropped steadily to 54 even with a few peeks from the sun. Dreary fall day, but I like them. I'm whacked like that. As my daughter sent pics from Denver and her snowy drive to work Saturday, I was a touch jealous, even if early snow is the kiss of death round here....I'd still take it.

Love doing DIY's, but yeah 4 letter words come w/ the territory. Did you install rubber gasket? Check couplings to make sure its in there. Been there....did that. if its in there did you check for cracks/tears in it? Also check seal in bottom of sink as well. Make sure you have enough schmutz around it and didnt miss a spot. Good luck. Sounds like a great project.

Sums up my earlier post. Stats didnt support any of the bolded, but like the weather, stats don't always add up to IMBY snow totals for those expecting, while fringed folks are shoveling our snow. It happens, and I'll no longer lose sleep over what I've no control over. I can find other ways to lose sleep, and am becoming rather good at it. My sleep stats SUCK.

Agreed. While I don't claim to be a baseball guy whatsoever, I always chuckle when i hear stat chatter in post season (of any sport). In the playoffs, every game is a new one, and alot more to play for than when its May and a team is sub .500 or on fire. There is not stat for desire, and like I always told my parents in my many years of coaching (soccer), you cant teach/coach that one. Diamondbacks wanted it and got it. Phillies bats went cold Carroll was on a mission and really stepped up. Just a couple examples of how a couple difference makers goes a long way when good teams play each other. I/my family might be more Phillies fans than we were a few months ago. Was fun to watch all the same. Sorry to all of you diehard Phillies fans.

northern mid atlantic seems to be in a decent spot as of right now. Pattern dependent, you may be sitting prett(ier) than we are for some, but I'm sure hoping the southern stream gets close but not above on all storms this winter.

As many here are stat gurus, then numbers dont lie and while the doom n gloom may very well be warranted, they've outscored their opponents by a sizeable margin through the playoffs. Tonight will be fun to watch no doubt...unless phillies bats go silent. I hope its a slugfest. Underdogs keep it interesting, no matter who one cheers for.

My family has suddenly taken interest in baseball, and I've watched more of it in the last couple weeks than in my entire life. Hell, my wife just said she ordered a T shirt... Not sure how tonight goes, but man Philly is stout when they are firing on all cylinders. Hoping for the G7 rally tonight. Texas looked pretty good. Would make for a great series if Philly can get there.

36 at my house, and 34-40 temp range on my 25 mile drive to work. Lots of frost observed, although still scattered. Not sure if "killing" level was reached in most places, but I'd imagine some green stuff slowed/suspended growing operations for the next 6 months. Couple sheltered areas had it pretty good.

Hope so. As I stated earlier, Im only leery of MJO good phases as when they showed last year, it really didn't help as the PDO influence seemed to be the Ace of Spades and trumped all other signals. Maritime phases seemed to be a lock for torch though (coupled w/ PDO mind you) so I realize this year is notably different. Just keeping that in the back of my mind while looking at the new hand we're being dealt for this upcoming season.

56 here in Etown. Gonna be a great late week/weekend for fall outdoor activities....some may be in shorts too. I can think of 2 for sure. I'm going to plan on some grillin Sunday for when the Eagles take the field.

Reading a couple pages back that it was suggested that MJO influence may not be as big a player this year. How much stock do you put into that suggestion? The weenie in me sees 8/1 and starts to get a tingle (knowing its only for Nov), but the realist is trying to temper expectations and figure out where the money lies in searching for longer lead clues and what tellies/indicies may take hold of the wheel on the winter 23-24 bus. Thoughts?

Like many others here, you add great value, and the open minded - level headed approach to offerings is easy to see. Keep up the good work as this hobbyist has learned so much from the likes of you/others. IMO the PDO is and has been the biggest player in what we see here in the east, and if we can manage to stay neutralish in the means, it may be much more "normalish" here in the east... as all of last years good indies, were offset by it IMO.

Pin worthy post. Part of the fun IMO as even a hobbyist can add some value as the constant ebb and flow of weather is ever changing, and we seem to play catch up wrt what we see and what may happen. Not for a second would I ever discount ANY met/pros offerings, unless a bias is present in what they offer to the masses.
