  1. well it is the HRRR, but I think we're screwed even here. Has that vibe. has all day actually
  2. At least the sleet is a pack insurance program. We should least get a few inches of snow on top of that and then we wait for what could be a good two or three weeks
  3. With a SWFE Up here it’s a battle to hold off the warmth, and usually we can get a good dumping before we go to drizzle and sleet. That is I suppose easier to predict in some ways. When we’re waiting for the cold air to come in it feels more like a crapshoot.
  4. Well I have learned that the NAM is often very good with the warm tongue. So I hope it's coming in a little warmer than reality. But it seems to me that some of us are on the line for a bunch of sleet and a few inches of snow vs. some sleet and 8-10 inches of snow. And that line probably runs very close to KCON.
  5. that is a foot here but not expecting that given ratios
  6. Solid B up here. Lots of cold, a very deep winter look for most all of January. Snow totals not impressive but decent with great retention. Tomorrow might be the 3rd 6"+ storm of 2022. A longer range outlook that could make the season an A by later February.
  7. so its not just the nam, it is also the rdps thing.
  8. I don’t totally discount the nam in this scenario., But again by 1 o’clock we will have a very good idea of the risks and rewards at hand
  9. By one will know if this was a decisive shift or not. Feels like it might be. So still a possibility for some small text colder given the strength of the high as we get close
  10. very light under the radar beam snow here. I will channel DIT and say that our 60 hour+ event has begun! Days and Days!!!
  11. very light snow here now, no radar returns. we get that here sometimes on east flow.
  12. WPC says the epac ridge moves onshore and I imagine that is good for us by next weekend
  13. I do feel like have moved uncomfortably close to the edge here, but you are plenty cold for snow there. I feel better though knowing that the cold is coming in, not retreating.
  14. Hope it holds steady or trends slightly south and colder for those of us on the knife’s edge
  15. I'm going to bed. This can be worried about tomorrow morning if necessary.
  16. Interesting, though off topic (though "taint" is as well). Very few asexual people talk about their experience as being asexual. All the best to you.
  17. that should be a permanent icon we can use in these chats!
  18. I can envision the heavier rimed flakes and even some graupel and ratios between 8 and 12:1 depending up the part of the storm. We get the pack even meatier than it is, then we powder on top. My walking trails in the woods already look like tunnels. I have 15-18 in the woods - you? It is very manly pack, Scooter would love it.
  19. Maybe a little conservative unless there’s significant non-snow. 1.25-1.5 qpf here. A little low for a swfe
  20. Loveses them. Thank you for that, it’s clicked in now. Gonna be some pack
  21. It certainly does seem like it’s a trend a little back to the north but I’ve noticed on many of the model runs today people have been saying “more amped up, warmer“. But then in the end it’s not that warm. That says to me that we might get the best case scenario with a amped up short wave and a strong cold press.
