at this point, we just try to enjoy a snowy afternoon as it is happening, knowing that we are washed clean by morning. But at least we do have a real shot at a good period of winter, and a real snow pack down the road.

Drove home from logan after midnight. Was a very localized event as it was just flurries by the time a got a few miles up 93. steady light snow with a fresh coating. Snow on snow!!!
that looks like cutter and inland runners with the position of the western ridge, east central trough, and the ridging off the east coast. although that might just be an average, or moment in time.
Getting slightly interesting. Probably gives me 3 to 4 and Bryan 4-6. Looks like you’re on the edge also. I still don’t expect that much snow but it’s good to see a trend in that direction so we can at least enjoy it for a little while.
I didn't know you were in private practice! For God's sake you need to work with a few in these forums - maybe run a support group, and then some 1-on-1 therapy for a few who shall remain nameless.
No one cause of everything. Lots o factors causing this particular winter patter. CC probably not primary but an impact because any factor has at least a little impact.
That is coming over the next decade or two, at least according to people who study these things. But we’ll still get plenty of snow. I just think long lasting really cold winters are going to be less common, although decadal patterns will help at times.
We’ve had a few of those over the last 15 years. A couple times we thought our boiler had blown up. It’s a certain kind of earthquake and sound due to the granite crust I think
