  1. now we know why the Vatican is flailing violently at the non-believers....
  2. If it is showing 3, I'd be on 2, but it might be like that Dec 08 period you mentioned yesterday. That was 2 waves Dec 19 and 21 with low level light snow never stopping in between. But there was also 5" up here in Dec 17, so basically 31" in 5 days for me. Earlier this year was 25 inches in 6 days up here. These things can happen, but if we have blocking wouldn't that tend to slow it down and cause consolidation of waves instead of multiple waves over a few days?
  3. My goodness... we all want more 69 on so many levels.
  4. I think we will, and I have thought so for a good while. I'm not a Met obviously, but we had a good blocking episode earlier but we got unlucky in how it played out. Blocking early usually repeats late. I think we all the way down to DC have some interesting times ahead, and I think I end up with above average snowfall. 30 more inches and I"m above average.
  5. My wunderground shows about 8” over 3 days from 22-24th. It has had a snow signal late in the 10 day for 3 days and it is getting stronger and closer. It’s coming.
  6. In another weeks its going to get cold and snow. Yup. Change.
  7. Maybe his northern Maine drag name? Go ‘head wit yo bad self lilwolfie!
  8. That gets us some blocking showing up by the 23rd. Will it allow the southern sw to be a coastal and not cut due to the SE Ridge influence? Looks like a primary up the Apps to a redeveloper near the mid atlantic coast.
  9. All we know is that it will be fast, hard and dramatic. And the past will disappear while the lollies reappear.
  10. This has been the scenario developing for quite a while, but some just say No Change. We say No. Change.
  11. I grew up in Dover, DE. We averaged less than 20, but we had some good winters in the 70s and 80s. Great beaches.
  12. Felt that way too, but earlier catch/fumble ruled not a catch has to be factored in. We need some controversy...since we definitely don't have snow to debate over. That earlier catch ruled no catch was a good call. All the announcers agreed and it was pretty obvious. He hadn’t established control the way the nfl defines it before being hit. The one at the end was just really sad because Kansas City would’ve kicked a field goal which they probably would’ve made and then eagles would’ve had a minute and a half to move down the field. And they probably would’ve been able to get a field goal the way they have been moving the ball. Kansas City still deserved to win, but the Eagles had their shot at it taken away by a horrible call. I just don’t understand why a ref insert himself on some thing like that.
  13. I assume we need to block the form or we’re cooked. That could press the PV down and hold it there for a while. That happened in December but we had bad luck. Probably we would have a better outcome this time for snow. Ray seems to be extremely on board for blocking, “near certainty”. But if it doesn’t happen, Then let’s get warm and dry out lol
  14. So different up here. I think the next week is going to take us into an early mud season. Yesterday was the first day in a while that I had to wipe the dogs paws off.
  15. Philly will definitely lose their snowpack, so will all of NNE, but not here. We lose a bit but then get frozen and meaty for a few days. Next week though, could do serious damage and maybe clear out the open sunniest fields. There was a pretty good pack when I drove down to Dover on Tuesday. Snow on the ground in Dover, but not too many miles inland, Northwood for example, had 6+ everywhere and probably a good bit more in the woods.
  16. Maybe the winter will just bleed out, if it ever had any blood for youse.
  17. temp is 42 and dp is 28 so I expect all rain.
  18. If as some modeling has suggested, we go back to something more wintery after next week, we could actually have a long stretch of winter conditions, extended by the SSWE through the whole of March and even early April. Frankly I'd rather one more 2-3 week period of deep winter and then move to an early and nice spring. But of course I/we have literally no control over that and my energy is better spent enjoying what I have!
