  1. So we probably end up close to 4. Congra**. Dend****
  2. I’m in Florida but according to my home cam it’s snowing harder than it has been snowing all day. Looks to me like at least 3 inches on the ground if not more
  3. Embrace as in “own”. Too many of us think we know everything and that everyone else is stupid. So we project our own ignorance on the other people instead of owning it ourselves. That is my socio-political Analysis of the current moment we are in.
  4. If we could all embrace our inner ignorant self the country would be in a much better place in a very short period of time. I actually mean that
  5. I will say this. Even if it looks crappy right now we’ve had a very active. In terms of precipitation events so I kind of expect something to pop up in the next day or two that gets our attention for somewhere in the next 5 to 7 days
  6. What is this active pattern that Scott was talking about? With no weekends system do we have any action coming?
  7. Caught me before the edit! I so hate when I prove the point I’m makingCaught me before the edit! I so hate when I prove the point I’m making
  8. Noneed to say that about someone on here who’s a nice guy. We’re all a little ignorant at times, including me and including you
  9. Even a storm that trends at the last minute to a congrats dendrite, is a fail. I want a ban on those words. Can i block any post that says congrats dendrite?
  10. I noticed this morning that WPC totally bailed on the low coming up the coast. It looks so interesting two days ago
  11. Yet another congrats dendrite fail
  12. You truly have replaced Eric. Eric, where are you???
  13. Don't blocking scenarios sometimes look temporary but then persist? Sort of like the EPO block from several years ago. We have had a tendency to see the 50-50 low show up this year. Maybe this blocking persists, especially if the AO tanks. I think Don S has data on how when the AO gets to a certain SD below 0, it tends to hold for several weeks. I might be misunderstanding that. I'm just saying, if we get a real block it might hang around quite a bit, or leave but then pop right back up.
  14. I am hoping the upcoming blocking episode isn't too supressive for us up here in congrates dendrite-land. I'm talking about the blocking that starts early next week. If it really establishes itself with a moderately strong -AO, aren't those likely to last, generally, for 4-6 weeks? I fear a strong DS/Grnlnd Block, but those of you in SNE should be salivating.
  15. Even for the screw zone up here...great December so far. Lots of cold, feel of winter, diamond dust last night and shimmering snow everywhere. Will lose the field snow mon-tues but not the woods. Then back into a decent pattern...not great but doesn't seem like a disastorous pattern is looming unless I'm missing something. An average pattern is good for many of us, maybe not so much for NYC and south.
  16. I don't really know how to interpret a map, but that looks good to me because: cold air supply, pacific transport of southern stream energy, ridge at the pole and a bit of a bridge to greenland, trough centered in midwest so we aren't suprressed. Would bring miller a, miller b and clippers? Also looks like a great spell of winter in the UK.
  17. Rays right-it is fun discussing winter events at these things
  18. I would be open to coming to this. Either date works at this point, though 23rd might be better. I am tentative but with a good chance. If it comes together I will look to make it happen.
  19. You are speaking in past tense about something that hasn’t happened yet. Be in the moment and enjoy these next 72hours of winter.
  20. might be heavy snow here now. vis around .1/4
  21. Nice steady moderate snow with good snow growth and 28
