  1. even though the radar returns are worse, the rates and growth are spectacular. But looks like it finishes in an hour or two.
  2. I wanted to give you guys some sense of the rates. Still unreal rates 5 an hour?
  3. I think I might’ve gotten an inch and about the last 10 minutes
  4. 22” Maybe a half an hour ago. So probably 24 inches now as it’s gotten so much more extreme in the last half hourMaybe a half an hour ago. So probably 24 inches now as it’s gotten so much more extreme in the last half hour
  5. Brian is your snow growth as good as mine? I think these are the highest rates of the storm. I’m walking around shoveling every 10 or 15 minutes there’s another inch so I’m pretty sure I’m in a 45 inch an hour range. Binghamton is reporting 41 and you will beat that
  6. Out shoveling. It’s a beast and snow growth is actually improving. Windy as hell up on this hill
  7. didn't know it could snow any harder but I guess it can. going outside to enjoy this some more.
  8. that band is awesome eh? think about what the write up and maps of this storm will be. a 30+ band that runs from central PA all the way through NY, across VT, NH and then maybe into ME.
  9. That is most totally awesome!!!!! You can all those little yellow blips that keep feeding in. The GYX discussion is great. 30+ in the "extreme mesoscale band" as it sits, sinks south and moves away. That whole band still has to get past you before it lightens up. 40 is happening.
  10. LOL is that eagle me? It is very near my location and I'm an Eagle fan. I just noticed!
  11. well the angle of the band is slowly changing and it is still very very heavy here even though I'm probably 7-8 miles south of the best yellow band. And there is no back edge nearby. Even when it lightens up we still accumulate for a while.
  12. when will the zones be updated to "total accumulations 2-3+ with locally higher amounts for chickens"?
  13. Looking at radar...look like still several hours to go. You will probably get 40 and I should breach 30.
  14. This captures it better. Visibility under 200 yards. Really windy on his hill so I don’t trust my measurement. I’m guessing I’m four or 5 inches behind Brian. https://youtu.be/3tDU09BoMwY
  15. hard to describe how hard it is snowing now. it is like the snow fog....you can barely see the trees, looks like a thick fog but then your eyes focus and you see the little flakes moving.
  16. you might get the pivot. I'm on the south end but essentially right in it due to the wind.
  17. I think that band is starting to pivot here, just north of CON
  18. given where the band is, I wasn't sure how you were doing there. you are like 12 miles south of me and probably 15-20 south of Brian.
  19. I need to get a fookin picnic table. Great shot! classic. snowing even harder I can barely see 200 yards
  20. what a pic. zone update for 2-3' totals?
  21. this storm has turned historic for many and I find it a bit strange that GYX hasn't updated since 2:48am. Especially given that we might get 1'+ more.
