  1. Did you find a black hole and start to merge with it?
  2. This thread is about dead, but I’ll say this has been an unexpected special storm. Because of the lack of wind, and probably the clouds today, the thick snow has stayed in the trees. Outside it looks like the storm just ended. The woods walk this afternoon was spectacular. Given the forecast, it should be great weather for woods wanders this week as we wait for the next stormy spell. a few shots from today, sorry the resolution looks sh*tty.
  3. You found a weather weenie husband?! Mine just looks at me and rolls his eyes. That is probably true for most in relationships on here. Although I think Will is married to a meteorologist.
  4. We should call dibs on the thread. If it is there on Feb 8 I say we pull the trigger (but impatience may cause us to do it on Feb 6, leading inevitably to us being blamed when someone gets porked.
  5. Who will Mother Nature pick to be her valentine? That could be a good thread title in a week.
  6. Been snowing all morning. maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Its been nice but I'm looking forward to the sun.
  7. I’m looking forward to some sun in the next 10 days. It would feel good and it’s good for our health. Also, my panels need some real sunny days.
  8. When there is a pack, the period between storms is fantastic. You’re not distracted by tracking and worrying and you just enjoy. What is outside. Get out there and enjoy what you have. If what people are mostly doing is spending their time online looking for the next Shot of adrenaline with each model run and then this is an excruciating. For any of you, who can I recommend just taking a quick two day trip somewhere up north where there’s snow
  9. This is why I like living up here and this is why I like snow pack. Frankly, it’s better when the pack is only 10 to 15 inches like it is today because it’s easier to create a trail for walking. off the back of our property I can walk about a quarter of a mile up to a hill at over 800 feet and I get this amazing view. Of course I have my constant companion with me. The zoomed in photograph to the distant area is north north east. Somewhere over there is Dendriteland and the chickens
  10. That is how I think about it. It’s sort of paradoxical. Perhaps, now we don’t have to obsess over what seems like an impending storm seven days out and instead we can just see what appears. Maybe Friday?
  11. Mt Kearsarge hiding being the cloud deck and our morning walking trail covered with sagging trees. Incredible morning and snow not so deep so walking will be fantastic.
  12. That’s great. How high is the elevation there? where are you getting the NWS reports? The page just has a few reports from yesterday. Not sure why. It has an updated on their site.
  13. I think you are a higher elevation right next to Bow, so this may explain my friends comment of close to a foot and Biw
  14. A balloon? actually, just like last winter we’re doing OK up here. I’m now at 33 inches with an average of 70 and we tend to get a lot of snow in February and the first half of March. Last year it was above normal up here but not so about 30 miles to the south.
  15. A friend of mine said he thought they had close to a foot in Bow. He’s not a weenie so he’s probably just looking outside.
  16. 6 inches on the nose, probably the most uniform measure I’ve ever taken as it was literally 6 inches in about a dozen different spots. This storm was definitely a win and to keep the snow cover going for a good while.
