  1. Wow. RIP Any indication of how he passed? 31 is way too young.
  2. Somewhere around 85 is about it for me. After that it's interesting and by the mid 90s I don't want to be out in it so what good is it. It's more like March or November out there than the end of May.
  3. Get a BIG one https://damprid.com/product/hi-capacity-absorbers-fragrance-free-4-lb-tub/
  4. Nuthin', zero, nada from round 1. Maybe the second line will bring the goods.
  5. It's on you when my beans and lettuce wash down the hill later
  6. 76/69/CLR wind is light and pleasant. No clouds in sight now so the temp ought to warm up pretty quickly now.
  7. Yeah it has been pretty terrible for longer than usual this year. My eyes pretty much never get all itchy and red like they have been recently. It totally saps my energy for the day somewhere around 3 too. Allergies are rarely a thing for me but the last week or so has sucked. If we get wet later what's the timing? The garden is borderline dry and I can't decide if I should water it now before the heat or wait for t-storms (which might not happen)?
  8. Looks like our wells are going to get an early season workout for the next few weeks. After a fairly dry period since last June this year could get "interesting" for some of us.
  9. Don't go gloating now I've got really dark skies and long rolling thunder just to my north. I can see the rain column and the hair on my arms is standing up. Temp is down at least 5° in the last few minutes too.
  10. After trying to smack me with its left wing it did a running liftoff and flew away.
  11. You must be single and not have any kids. It would cost considerably more in electricity to run space heaters in a couple of bedrooms than to spend $15 on 5 gallons of diesel. Well I just had a new experience. I went to let the dog out and do my morning garden walk with a cup of hot coffee and got attacked by a huge turkey. The thing was feasting on my early lettuce crop and didn't appreciate my company.
  12. That's not necessary at all. I don't understand the desire for crazy high temps, you go out for a few minutes then need to go back into a climate controlled place. Personally I don't really like AC and find it quite wasteful so maybe that tempers my feeling towards high temps. I also think it's just so comfortable when it's in the mid 80's that I can't figure out why you'd want to be uncomfortable just to see those high numbers recorded.
  13. 75-85 is fine. Those 90's don't have to get here.
  14. I'm just going to grab 5 gallons of diesel, that should be enough to ensure not running out for a week since it really only kicks on a few times a night.
  15. .82 I think. Can we please be done with these cold nights. I really don't want to buy 150 gallons of oil right now.
  16. 48/42/RN- Pretty uncomfortable out there.
  17. The green out there has nothing to do with food (or environmentally wise aspects), it's lawns, non native landscaping and golf courses.
  18. Sort of but not really. The way they develop out there includes new green areas that were just beige before. These newly landscaped and grassy areas add to the RH and general cooling in the valley bringing the temps down (theoretically).
  19. This morning Al Roker tossed a stat up the Las Vegas minimum is up 7 degrees over the last 30 years or something like that.
  20. Yeah whatever I ended up with ~.8 for the event but it's wetter than that due to persistent dampness for almost three days with low temps and no sun. Nice day today
