^^ Kind of like keeping things working on my 15 year old supercharged Range Rover. So far I've been able to do almost everything it needs and for the most part the parts aren't any more expensive than most others. Chances are I'll never find such a deal on a $90+k vehicle so I'm putting in some effort. It uses R134a so it can be charged if that's the problem. I think there's an actuator valve not opening somewhere and I'm not smart enough to figure out where it is. This is a nice front blowing through. It's crazy dark N and S of me but bright and almost sunny here. The wind is pretty strong but not a drop has fallen. Temp is down from 97 to 87.

So one more dry day, thankfully a wee bit cooler but then some wetness. How wet will we get?

96 on my street and 98 a few blocks away on a south facing hillside.

The lowest temp on my hill right now is 92. 2 stations are at 96 and one is at 98. I misted the garden twice and it was very appreciative.

My hill was over 90, most stations were at ~92.

69/69/CLR/0-W1 I got a whopping .02 today and .07 yesterday. Things are wet but not really, 1" down is mostly dry as it's really only the surface but that has it disgustingly humid. By 3pm tomorrow you won't know it was wet today.

That's double what I got. It is pretty wet but the ground stayed dry under my potato plants and only got moist in the berry patch so I'm thinking it needs watering during the heat tomorrow.

It stopped drizzling for a few minutes at a time, hasn't really rained since this morning though but it's wet. Really wet. A lot more than .05 should be. It's looking like more significant rain is incoming.

^ Not raining there? It has been wet here for about a half hour now. It's a good soaking rain, not adding up to much, ~.05 around the hill, but everything is thoroughly soaked and soggy.

Yeah these parts came from a couple of suppliers here in the States, some of the product is Asian and Euro but it came from domestic warehouses. Anyway... How wet are we going to get the next few days?

Turned into a pretty nice late afternoon. Looking forward to some dry time tomorrow to work on the truck. Its getting a new thermostat, new rear shocks, new pads and brake hardware up front, new sway links in front and I'll figure out what needs to be done next. I know a bunch of bushings and rubber bits need to be replaced and I think I need to rebuild at least the front Brembo calipers and lube and massage the rears I'm pretty sure all the control arm bushings are shot, at least a couple of ball joints and the hub knuckle bushings on the right rear are scary bad but I'll confirm all that while things are apart. Anyone wanna come help?

Sorta maybe. If we don't get into a wet period, if it doesn't rain again this week I bet the surface dries out quickly. Fauna growth rates are outrageous right now and all those plants will suck the first few inches dry in no time without replenishment. I think we're still down a pretty fair bit over a year, probably not full on drought but it is dry because of the dry spring and the surface will go back to crackly dry pretty quickly.

Yeah we ran out of oil a few hours ago. I gotta get my shit together and go get another 5 gallons of diesel, it's getting too chilly in the house now. Looks like one more solid slug of rain is incoming. As much as we needed it I'd really like it to stop raining now. The combination of rain and wind softened the ground so much that most of my garlic blew over so it will need to be harvested now rather than waiting for it to finish in another 45 or so days.

Wow. RIP Any indication of how he passed? 31 is way too young.

Somewhere around 85 is about it for me. After that it's interesting and by the mid 90s I don't want to be out in it so what good is it. It's more like March or November out there than the end of May.
