  1. Could it be any more soggy? This is getting really old. #bringbackthedrought
  2. It sure doesn't seem like it has been warm. The lack of sun for 3 weeks straight will do that though... These warm minimums are killing me because they don't really tell the whole story, stats are what you make of them I guess.
  3. I had some rumbles and heavy enough rain to make the gutter overflow but nothing too terrible, ~.35".
  4. Wouldn't want the sun to get in the way of a rainy afternoon. Again
  5. So much for heating things up, it just rained for a bit and now it's super muggy and overcast.
  6. Looking through the list that Don posted above it's strange that all around me reported over 2" but the closest station on the list in Croton Falls was only 1". Looking through a variety of other sources everything was over 2" also so I guess that one gets tossed...
  7. Sun is out now. The wind is up a bit so there's plenty of air movement mixing things up. The ground is steaming from all the rain yesterday. Lets heat this place up and add some fuel for the storms later.
  8. Stats are what you make of them. Gotta start somewhere. Sun is out now here, lets heat this place up and build up some fuel for the storms later
  9. I guess they should have put the parkways somewhere other than over and next to rivers. I'm at ~1.8" so far for the day.
  10. 1.8 and still raining steadily, looks like another 2" day today. I wonder what the record is for days with 2" in a calendar year.
  11. Over 1" here too. Looks like 1.05 or so is the median of the local stations. This number will increase quickly over the next little while here. It's really coming down hard.
  12. ?? Heheh. You'll manage to get out, trust me at some point your wife will tell you to get out of her way and go do something That 117 number BW posted is way short of what it's been up here just 60 miles from midtown. I'd add another 50 to that easily but that's just anecdotal from looking at cams and such.
  13. See below Yup the percentage of cloud cover during daylight hours has been exceptionally high this year going all the way back to March.
  14. It sure would be nice to have a wall to wall sunny day for a change, especially now that it's not likely to be 90+ degrees.
  15. @SnowGoose69 I know that as my kids reached their teen years it became even more important for one of us to be available to be the shuttle driver to move them from one after school activity to another. I have twins so much of their activities were shared but hers being a variety of ages have things going on in different places around town at different times so it's nearly impossible for them to be active without a parent that's able to do all that running around.
  16. Cooler in the house than 64? Your lower back must be younger than mine Grrr Those darn high minimums screwing everything up again
  17. Halloween will get snowed out again for the third time this decade.
  18. I dunno about that, it's 63 in my living room right now.
  19. Looks like snow in the forecast in/near Portland ME tonight
  20. Irene was a disaster away from the coast, especially as you got up into the Catskills, Berks and Greens. The flooding and attendant damage was unreal.
  21. I wouldn't mind seeing another one the day before Thanksgiving where I get 10" of cement that shuts down the drunken stupidity like we got in 2014.
