  1. 4 hours later and I'm still seeing random flakes. A few even got together and are having a little accumulation party but only a few, the rest got blown away. I just pulled the last carrots of the year yesterday. I'm looking forward to this little warm shot, most of my beds froze so it's perfect to turn them and get the moisture distributed better for winter composting. I procrastinated putting in the garlic so it needs a few warm days to get it settled after I put it in tomorrow or Thursday.
  2. Anyone else getting snow? It's been flurrying here for about an hour, accumulating a little bit in wind sheltered spots around the patio now.
  3. 1.6" final, some good wind and a few flakes for effect. Interesting storm to watch which was nice.
  4. 39/37/NE9/L+ What snow I got was pretty short lived but did give a nearly opaque coating to the top of the BBQ grill for a little while.
  5. 36/35/NE6/RN*SN- As wet as it is after getting 1.2" in 12 hours it will be a while before snow could stick but a few more heavy bursts could bring the temp down just enough...
  6. Of course, within an hour after I posted that it started raining. Up to just about a half inch already. It has been a steady soaking rain for a few hours now.
  7. Heh, I saw the latest tfl video and had to laugh and they're not the only youtubers having problems. JC is right about it really not being much better with the domestic products, there are just so many more that the problems seemq smaller. There is this Lucas guy running around in the trucks systems depositing gremlins in random spots that's kind of entertaining. So what, 2" of snow Saturday with some rain and wind late today/tonight?
  8. These nice warm days have to end, they're getting expensive. Every time it's warm out I head to the driveway and start working on my new (to me) Range Rover. Well, the damned thing is 14 years old and the plastics are getting brittle and every time I pop a trim piece off I snap tabs and it doesn't fit right afterwards. I'm getting mechanical things solved but ending up with whistles or rattles. FYI supercharged Jaguar motors are all sortsa fun
  9. You weren't around here in the 70's and 80's were you?
  10. I've had off and on flurries all morning but over in the Catskills it's more significant https://www.plattekill.com/webcams/
  11. Flakes flying and twinkling in the sun, so pretty
  12. ~1.5" and warm, muggy and soggy blech... Just need another 10" or so to get to normal for the year but the recent moisture should at least mean that the well is good to go for a while. Boy it's getting dark out there right now, kinda looks apocalyptic with black sky directly overhead and bright sunshiney goodness just down the hill to my east.
  13. ~1.5" yesterday so not bad, plenty of wind but nothing too significant and no damage. The standout was the temps, I ran high 50's all day and popped up to 62 around 6 or 7 last night, it was very tropical feeling when I took the garbage out.
  14. @Juliancolton we really needed this In the half hour since I posted I've doubled the total. It's really coming down now.
  15. As hard as it has been raining today I'm having a tough time believing all of the local stations. They're all between .22 and .28 and not reporting much for wind. My gutters have been overflowing for hours and water is running down the hill in torrents now.
  16. Eek. Being fully exposed to the ESE and being 400 feet off the general valley floors in the area I worry about lows getting into the NY Bight and sending the winds accelerating up the gradual southern slope below me. Every time we get winds out of that direction it takes out trees, thankfully the leaves are down already. I think I'll fire up the generator this afternoon just to be sure I don't get caught short.
  17. Turned into quite a nice afternoon. Got a bit over an inch. I'll take it.
  18. Looks like about .9" is the mean for the area but at least it's warm out.
