I'm not too far west of you and mine jumped from 11/12 to 16 in about an hour.
that's weird I'm still at 8, temp went up a degree, definitely virga per radar, should be snowing here, I'll check other stations maybe mine is out of cal.

Pretty nice looking waa headed our way on radar. How much is virga? Fairly moist here in terms of humidity
i can verify virga, it's extremely dry here, dew at 8, but the cloud deck has lowered in the last couple of hours, feels like snow out there, we'll see how long it takes to get saturated
-
sitting at 24/8, gonna take a while to get saturated here, and the radar don't look too impressive SW of us...a bit shredded

I would go with 6-12 for you, wide range to account for variability with round 2 but i think you're a lock for a half a foot at that latitude and elevation.
I'll take 6 and be happy on 12/3... seems everyone gets that four days out pants off high, only to come back to reality with the numbers...qpf, H7, H85, all the thermodynamics at play, most like the clown maps and repost as gospel, no dgz explanation or anything, I personally got excited because we were talking possible retro, or creeping low just rotting and slowly exiting, haven't had one of those in quite a while. seems all the storms of late have been quick hitter type. sorry just ranting. enjoy the snow everyone!

Ya it’s really all about that H7 lift early Monday am thru the day. If you are far enough NW you will bang .
right now looking pretty good, especially west of me, but I think I'm close enough for some goods, have to watch the trends
-
like where I'm at for this one, with respect to both events, but weary of the trends and possible dryslotting... hopefully the first round holds snow longer in my area, Aly still weary as well, was expecting a wsw hoist last afd, but still at watch status, I'll stick with the 8-10 total, be happy with anything plowable honestly, ceiling is there for more... Aly has my area around a foot, I'm skeptical about that, we still have time before round 2 is locked in. I do think someone lollies 2' somewhere, possibly the Berks, nw ma?

here cometh the front, winds just picked up and the fat wet flakes fly...love that crisp cold air smell.

we got first flakes in Winsted, mixed with rain but flakes are there...down to 38/37

No time for wine, beer, whiskey?
nah I pretty much stopped the booze, I'll have a few if I'm traveling for work but other than that nothing...i spent like 20 years hitting it hard like you read about, so I got my fill... just replaced with coffee and water.

Remember mpm is a major coffee guy. I think he (at least used to) drinks up to 14 cups per day.
I'm right there with him, I drink coffee from 430 to 1900 and then pound water... anyway, weather looks like it's all over the place for next week, as someone said it is mid November so anything is bonus and it looks deep winter cold too.
-
good to be back for some winter fun and flip flop model run.. went from possibly a few inches to rain showers and next week looks like cold and sn showers, WU app had 5" for Tuesday just a half hour ago... still out a way but I think Thursday night is toast.
-
I'm shocked the snow is lasting as long as it is here, I would have thought maybe above my elevation would hang on, but it's been legit snow and a little IP for over an hour now grass and deck cancel again...
-
nice rotting band around bos to pvd.. seeing some widespread double digits awesome!! so wish I was there.
-
any amount from the Winsted/Torrington area? only report I have is 8.3" in Watertown and 3.6 in Lenox and I'm pretty much in the middle of that, noone awake yet...tia
-
wife says looks like a little over an inch down, judging by the pics she sent, decent rates... meanwhile in NC it's pouring... heard a rumble too
-
looking how the radar returns are coalescing, you can almost see another band further NW from like PSF to CON perhaps
-
pressure dropped big here in Rocky Mount, just about 1000....33/27 and snow in Winsted and the pressure home is 1020
-
wife tells me snow has commenced in Winsted...good luck all, pics so I can live vicariously from NC

They started warning down here at 1pm when we were blue skies and 40. Cirrus just starting to creep in now.
my bad, didn't refresh from the morning update
-
Upton still has watches up for the area but ALB has warnings, think they would have hoisted by now, a couple hours from go time

We got about an inch and half here in New Hartford.
thanks. text bulletin is always all over the place, sometimes very different from my and others measurements.
-
sucks I'm in NC for work, and the biggest winter weather all season is happening... I have my dad doing the measurements at home to stay consistent, he says about 2", but hasn't measured yet, nothing in text bulletin, anyone confirm what's fallen around the Winsted Torrington area? TIA

there's been a signal for a storm around this time frame for a while now, I think Will said it a couple weeks ago and someone else pointed out the teles were all going to come together for a short window before pattern change, no? just details now, chances it bands further NW than modeling shows.
Happy Birthday Old Man Winter storm obs
