  1. I agree with you about that. Definitely will need the heavy precip for good accumulations but no one is getting a foot of snow in Winchester, 3-6 or 4-8 is probably top end. This is the model that gave me 45 inches in one storm a couple years ago and I got 3.
  2. Yeah would just look at rgem as a trend. Its snowfall numbers are frequently bonkers
  3. 3k sticks a 6 inch lollipop right over my place west of Owings Mills. I guess that 650 of elevation feet does wonders lol
  4. Aren’t we like 24 hours away from the nams even being remotely accurate?
  5. The Mike Masco twitter drama is something else today. Personally I always thought he was a petty good meteorologist. I have no issues with a simple first call map which is all he issued today. Calling him irresponsible for it seems a little much. But that’s twitter/X. Everyone has to have their own hot take I guess.
  6. I remember reading an article I think in the Winchester star about it a few years back. Apparently abandoned vehicles everywhere because the snow fell so hard and fast.
  7. It may well have been 40 inches or close to it. I lived in the city of Winchester and it was the closest I’ve seen to three feet and that’s snow depth not snowfall accumulation.
  8. I lived in Winchester Va/frederick county for all the big ones since 83 but I was only 2 in 83. March 93 is still my favorite snowstorm—Snowed in at my grandmothers house in the rural part of the county—we stayed there because she had a wood stove. The wind, the duration, the snow drifts were all unreal. Remember taking a night walk with my dad down our dirt road in the peak of the blizzard; there was an abandoned s-10 pickup amidst the drifts. Jan 2016 is the most snow I’ve ever seen. I’m told Feb 83 was to the 2016 numbers at my parents house. PD 2 was the coldest I remember.
  9. It’s been good. Raining here in Owings mills for about 90 minutes. Much needed!
  10. Had 12 rain drops. Now it’s cold—for June at 64 degrees. Thought it would be a shorts day but maybe not.
  11. Hardly a drop in Owings Mills. Ground got wet earlier but probably less then .05
  12. Definitely wish I still lived in Frederick county va for this one. It won’t be great but a lot better then what I’m gonna prob see in Baltimore county .
  13. Hopefully it gets rid of all the leaves remaining on the trees
  14. Are you thinking of ‘89? That was the frigid snowy December
  15. First frost in Owings Mills as well
  16. Seeing upper 30s now in northern md on Wunderground. They should definitely get close to freezing
  17. It was closing in on 3 inches here about 20 minutes ago but with just light snow it’s melting off the road.
  18. Probably my favorite snow this year in owing mills. Great rates and tons of wind and crashing temps. Just wish I wasn’t working today.
  19. Our neighborhood road has been covered for some time in Owings mills. We’ve had pretty heavy returns though most of the day and fair bit of wind. Most of the secondary roads appear to have snow or slush. Probably 2-2.5 inches on deck
  20. 12k looks like a fairly long duration snow. At least 7 hours over central and northeastern md.
