  1. At this point I’d be thrilled with 12-18 hours of sleet vs mostly rain. But not sure that’s going to even happen now for my locale. LWX had downgraded my point and click forecast but probably still too high.
  2. Speaking of snow maps, WUsa’s latest is pretty sad. Where most have 4-8 or 6-12 they have 1-3. Could be right though, too early to say.
  3. They do. I think IAD only goes back to the 60s
  4. Like a March snow it accumulated much better on elevated surfaces. 3.6" on the deck railing
  5. I might see a little more snow as this back edge comes through...maybe
  6. Snow/sleet mix. Mostly snow at the moment
  7. Isn't that through 7 pm though? Or are we done by then ?
  8. 700 feet elevation, Owings Mills Red dog lodge
  9. Ok so it's farther south than I thought. I was thinking it was more west of Harrisonburg but it's definitely southwest.
  10. We've got stickage on north facing moss lol
  11. Harrisonburg Va is white and getting accumulation so this is surprising.
  12. It seems like you've done pretty well this winter. I've busted low I think on every lwx forecast lol. I hope it's not like this every year in Owings Mills; I'm new to Baltimore County
  13. Most local temp readings (wunderground) are now are approaching 31 in Owings Mills. Probably going to be above freezing here before 1 am.
  14. Agree. Shenandoah national park has had two terrible ice storms this year but that's a pretty different climate with most of it above 2500 feet. But yeah, they're still cleaning up trails from November. It was the worst ice storm in a long time up there.
  15. Same here but I expect after dark if it remains below freezing the sidewalks may get icy. I'm thinking roads will be ok.
  16. We're getting freezing drizzle/light zrain here. 29 also
  17. Dec 92 was one such instance. Just west of Winchester, over a foot...2 feet across the Wv line, and mostly rain east of BR. Same winter as the big blizzard which produced a lot more snow west of the Br. But you make a good point Ji, it seems to happen a lot less than 15 to 20 years ago. I lived in Winchester until 2017. We did get about 35-36 inches from the Jan 16 blizzard which I think was about on par or greater than Loudoun. There was also that March snow in '13 or '14 which busted badly near the beltway. We had about 14-15 inches in Frederick County, VA.
  18. I'm satisfied but but just mildly annoyed, lol. Especially since we just moved from Columbia I'm sure we'll get more chances down the road. I'm driving south into the DC area tomorrow so I'll get to see all that snow, albeit the day after.
  19. A frustrating day in Owings Mills. Life on the edge.
  20. Snow picking up in Owings Mills; I'm on a Jeb walk at Soldiers delight natural area
