Is there going to be a lawn thread? Asking for a friend.

it's at the 8 day mark. Do the operationals show anything?

Scary being stuck on Donner. People start looking at you with wild eyes as soon as you show weakness.

It was the biggest storm of my life and got me into this weather stuff. I got 3 feet. It cannot be matched at least for me (and some others) at least psychologically. Anytime someone mentions the name of that storm it seems to jinx a repeat. Edit: which Tip just did ;-)

The storm that shall not be named.

It just wants to snow still here north of HPN. I've had light snow for at least an hour. Nothing to add to the stake but it's good mood flakes. Looking forward to mid-month.

NWS cut HPN down to 2-4 from 3-5. I agree with that assessment. We will see.
-
NWS Totals too high for my area HPN. No way 4, esp. on the ground. Maybe 2. Trend going against them.
-
Maybe North of HPN up to putnam/ dutches can get a few inches of cement.

Lights flickering at my house. heard a transformer go boom

We may yet see something later. Tough deal because this was the first storm really all season to get within 6 days model lead time still with a chance...but fits the season.
-
Also based on soundings for my area (HPN), a lot of what is depicted as snow on the GFS is not going to be snow, certainly not accumulating anyway.

North trend continues. Slipping away. To think the NE posters were worried about suppression!

I'm up at HPN and I think I need 40 to get to 'normal.' Taking the under.
-
I would not bet on it with real money, true. However, it can certainly be done! CPK needs 29.7 inches (or something like that) now, and I don't see 2 foot plus storms and then a moderate snowstorm happening. 20 would be a miracle.
-
Its happened before at least for CPK. One storm did it in 2006 and another in 2016. I think 27 inches was 'normal' for CPK at the time. The question is, if we get normal snowfall in one week, how do we rate this winter overall? This is an F+ winter to date only because a T was recorded a couple times at CPK and December was below normal temps, hence the +.
