  4. We operate out of small labs but I am always amazed how much disposable plastic is generated on a weekly basis. Wish it were recyclable. .
  5. 55F. Sitting on deck drinking double IPA with sweats on. Warmth was nice while it lasted. .
  6. Moderna Moderna Warns New Waves of Covid-19 Are Coming https://finance.yahoo.com/m/5f0c28b0-c726-3822-9f0c-d72c86fe9bb1/moderna-warns-new-waves-of.html
  7. A little cheap starter fert tonight
  8. For my wife, it's not misunderstanding or anti-vax thinking. She's been a flight attendant for 30+ yrs and rarely gets sick. Her reasoning is she has a good immune sys coupled with the likelihood we both got covid in dec 2019, but never confirmed. I'd respect her thinking more if she just said she didn't feel comfortable with the potential unknown side effects, but to say "i have a good immune system" doesn't cut it for me and obviously not for a lot of people who got covid and died. I am a little nervous about her traveling abroad right now, but Greece is pretty strict and you still have to mask up. She said she's juts waiting a bit longer before getting vax'd. I asked her what's going to change by waiting. Didn't get an answer. Don't want to instill an argument
  9. My wife is holding out for now. I really don't agree with her reasoning, but I have to respect it. She's off to Greece for 10days with her two girlfriends who are vaxed.
  10. Good point. Some of the dead areas on the lawn near the driveway have granite just below the surface.
  11. Supposed to do out annual Mem day cycling ride out of Fryeburg, over Hurricane, up to Pinkham Notch, Gorham, then back through Evans Notch. If it's not wet, it'll probably be pretty chilly.
  12. Time flies but I'm determined. Here's the funny thing, I threw down the same seed last Nov around the shed we had delivered and the grass is coming in pretty nice and it's all backfill and dirt. .
  13. Unless the qpf continues to spread N, 0.3" projected through monday here is not going to do much. what's the drought monitor map look like these days?
  14. Maybe, but how come other lawns around my hood look good and they don't irrigate .
  15. no doubt. i'd really like to wash some of the pollen away, but i'm betting we get a lt to mod shwr. Probably <0.1"
  16. Here's the 2019 report for that section of the property. Nothing limiting or excessive
  17. This is why I'm frustrated. Look how bad last Fall's seeding looks now. The "good" pic was taken in Nov. The new stuff doesn't just go dormant. It literally dies away and I end up with bare spots again. It's just burning away...
  18. 89.4F. Not too sticky. DP 59.7. Hoping we get some something from the convection today ,otherwise Fri is a whiff, then more high and dry.
  19. that's disgusting. I hope not. It's almost june ffs
  20. Maibec has been a PITA to deal with. They wouldn't even send me some replacement boards couple years ago unless I had original proof of purchase, however that was a warranty thing, so I get it. But, even for getting some stain, they make it very difficult and costly. I also need to replace some outdoor door and window pine trim which has started to rot and lose paint. I usually scrape, prime and paint, but it's just easier to tear out and replace at this point. Would like to get some cedar, but nobody carries 5/4 thick trim. I've used it in other areas like under the deck sliders and it's held the paint very well, as expected. Only other option is to get some PVC, which I've used before. Hammond guy said they make a pine pressure treated product (Lifespansolidselect.com), that supposed to be good, but I am leery of using pine again.
