  1. Yep, same around here. Some call it fake cold but I find it very interesting.
  2. I can honestly say I’ve never been there, can’t say the same for my Long Island cousins…. And I’m way too lazy to type all that out, as you can see LOL
  3. “ONLY THE DAY DAWNS TO WHICH WE ARE AWAKE,IF WE ARE TO GRASP THE REALITY OF OUR LIFE WHILE WE HAVE IT,WE WILL NEED TO WAKE UP TO OUR MOMENTS,OTHERWISE,WHOLE DAYS,EVEN A WHOLE LIFE COULD SLIP BY UNNOTICED..”― Henry David Thoreau, Walden
  4. This is my second latest recorded first flakes, 12/4/06 is still the latest for me. That 06-07 season also is the latest first measurable snowfall date which was 1/19/07.
  5. @LibertyBell…I’m begging you…
  6. First flakes of the season here this morning.
  7. Yeah, that was impressive fog this morning.
  8. @JuliancoltonHow did you make out yesterday? I see NWS Albany confirmed an EF1 on Friday in your neck of the woods.

  11. Legoland, KMGJ, and I all recorded .62”
  12. That’s the first thing that I noticed as well LOL. La la la lock it up!
  13. To be fair I did too…when I was 3 years old.
  14. It wasn’t wildly off in comparison to the Stratus but you know how I am with my measurements LOL. The silver coating in one of the buckets started to wear off so that prompted the change more than anything. I had to adjust the buckets in my old Weather Monitor too but never the spoon in the Vantage Vue so we’ll see how the spoon does now.
  15. the leaves are definitely acting like a blanket. https://www.davisinstruments.com/products/vantage-pro2-tipping-spoon-replacement-kit
  16. I swapped out the tipping bucket with a tipping spoon on the VP2 this morning. The buckets seem to need adjustment from time to time for some reason but when I had the spoon in the Vantage Vue I had zero issues and never had to adjust anything. I also decided to pulled apart the radiation shield and give that a good cleaning…it’s amazing how many different spots spiders will nest in a weather station…
