  1. The leaves IMBY are not so great this year, the gypsy moths did a number on them in the spring then it was wet and now rather dry. I've had a good amount of leave drop already. Who knows anymore what brings on good foliage. That said, this little autumn blaze red maple on the left does not disappoint.
  2. Yeah, screenshots usually work for me too but not today for some reason. edit: I just took a different photo and the screenshot of it worked. I dunno. It's in the NW thread.
  3. What sites are folks using to upload photos here these days? I've tried all the old tricks to be able to upload a photo this morning with no luck, the file size still comes up as too big. I have plenty of room in my attachments folder so it's not that.
  4. Had a nice little inversion up here earlier, I was 47 at 385’ while Legoland seven miles to my SW at approx 650’ was at 61.
  5. Interesting to me, IMBY the new run got cooler by 5 degrees.
  6. Speaking of my records, at least I am anyway LOL, today is my first day of a low between 36-32 which is the NWS definition of first frost. Today also happens to be my 19 year average first NWS definition of frost date. Exciting, right? Here are some more useless stats from IMBY, average first visible frost is 10/15, average first freeze is 10/22 and average first hard freeze is 10/29.
  7. 35.5 here, 36 gets logged in the books. It was 60 downstairs so I flipped that zone on, upstairs zone still off for now.
  8. First 30s of the season, 35.5 for the low.
  9. 41 for the low, so close to the first 30s of the season. KMGJ a couple miles away made it to 38. Time will tell if I'll get to the 30s this week.
  10. The dews have been noticeable, clearly nothing like when it is the upper 60s and 70s but still dewey with dews consistently in the 50s to low 60s. Dews below 50 this weekend will feel great even if they don’t get down to the 30s next week. 55/54 with light fog here currently.
  11. Which model and how’s the battery life?
  12. .09 with light rain falling. Terrible for all the agritainment businesses, both apple picking during the day and haunted hayrides in the evening.
  13. Glad to see that rain drying up for the most part before getting up here. Nobody wants that crap on the weekend. Too bad we can't push some of these clouds outta here as well. 0.00 through the tipper.
  14. Been enjoying some sun with the clouds up here the past couple hours. Looks like clouds might be starting to push back in, hopefully that's not he case.
  15. Up to .44 for the week here, agreed that the gentle showers this week have been beneficial and have opened the ground up a bit. I have seen some comments that models got wetter for tomorrow but I haven't seen that, at least not up here. Hoping for an outdoor happy hour on my deck tomorrow. Julian is ok, just out enjoying life as far as I know.
  16. Been wet here in central Orange County since mid-morning. I know you all are jealous of this .05-.15...
  17. Parts of my lawn started browning this week but nothing crazy yet, no mow required this week. I keep my mower running until I’m done with the leaves for the most part.
  18. IMBY Sunday was 1 degree cooler and the dew was .4 lower, so virtually a carbon copy.
  19. A black and red flannel and jeans were a bad call to go apple picking?
  20. Granted nothing has actually fallen yet but I agree all around yet somehow it seems like some think we are on the verge of the dust bowl again.
  21. I had .78" for Sept 2005 and then 17.06" in October
