Maybe the past couple/few dry months was a blip in the wet pattern? Time will tell. *IrishRob17 neither endorses or discredits a dry or a wet pattern, warm or cold temps, a rainy or snowy winter, he merely makes observations and ponders the future along with occasionally referring to himself in the third person. He also wonders if @BxEnginehad anything to do with the debacle getting into Yankee Stadium Saturday night to watch The Irish. -
.38" thru the tipper, bringing my monthly total to 3.34". So after two well below normal months I'm back to an above normal month, albeit slightly at the moment as my November average is 3.04".

I don’t believe so as that .3 was my only measurable in Nov and zilch in Dec for me.

Event melted total: 2.55” Event snowfall: 3.5” with 2” at the stake this morning. A much needed nice soaking event to put down the wildfires.

I'm going with 3.5" here, I could be under selling a bit since I wasn't home at peak snow depth but I'd rather go conservative than inflate totals. 2.55" in the Stratus, so a terrific soaking mixed event.

My first flakes and first measurable last year was on 11/21 with .3 on the board. My largest snowfall last season was 1/7 with 13.9"

My tipper says 2.15" but I'll verify with the Stratus tomorrow. Light snow ongoing.

Violently agree that its not from downtown Port. This isn't the first time I've noticed it and I wonder if the person who took the measurement also reports to mPING on the regular, causes its near Port but not in city limits.

I was up to 1.7" on the board when I left home and hour ago, so it was an inch an hour type stuff. Still ripping pretty good. I followed an SUV with its hazards on riding the brake doing 15-20mph in a 55...nothing screams I don't know how to drive in the snow and/or I need new tires. Granted there was no way anyone should've been going even 45mph but the 15-20mph was ridiculous.

I feel your pain, my Dish went out, I had to switch to streaming until I brushed the dish off. Ok, that’s not exactly the same. Moderate snow here, a beautiful morning out there.

Agreed. One thing though, Port Jervis/Matamoras itself is below 500' but you don't have to go far, in nearly any direction, to gain elevation quickly.

The clown maps even show snow for us flatlanders.

That said, average first flakes for me is 11/6 with average first measurable snow of 11/8, so we are overdue up here.

Since we are burning I'd say all of us up here will take whatever we can get, rain/snow.

I was surprised as well. There are definitely issues with fires in the ground as it's been so dry. The photos I've seen this evening on social media, which can be tricky because of exposure time, show lots of fire moving north, south, and west, which is also crazy to me. I'm guessing the air tankers were just rumors this week because I've seen nothing about them in operation.

Not a good evening in Greenwood Lake as the fire jumped the line. There are evacuations and an urgent request went out for any local fuel company that can refuel an engine that's on the fire line protecting homes.

Agreed, don't really see the need to literally jump in this case.
