  1. Thanks for posting MGJ, it’s been an incredible stretch in this neck of the woods for the past several weeks, seems like if we don’t bullseye we’re damn close each event. 18.82” IMBY over the last month.
  2. 2.54", 5" since Friday, 12.86" for the month. Soooo done with torrential rains.
  3. 10.32" for the month here. I'm good with the showers all passing me by, I hope.
  4. Lots of standing water in the fields this morning. Won’t take much rain tomorrow to cause more problems. Here’s the Wallkill in Middletown, Orange is this year, red it last here
  5. Bump. IMBY: 6/27/23-6/27/23: 4.97" 7/9/23-7/10/23: 5.45"
  6. Up to 2.35” on the day
  7. Meanwhile up here, yet another Flood Advisory issued with loud thunder moving in...it never ends.
  8. So the Old Lady is barking up a storm over these bugs on her eggplant, any of you smart guys know what they are and how to get rid of them? I'm guessing the gun that I'm going to likely use on the groundhog that's eating the perennial flower gardens isn't the answer here.
  9. My oldest son lives in Grapevine where its currently 103/74 with a heat index of 116. The wife and I don't visit there this time of year...
  10. .17 with that last batch and just under 16" here over that same time period.
  11. Apparently there's a major power out in the Port Jervis/Tri-States area due to a large transmission line going down.
  12. Thankfully nothing too wild here from what I could tell during the multiple rounds of thunder with lots of lightning, picked up 1.28"
  13. The later storms were not to my south, multiple rounds of thunder overnight, 1.28" total. I blame @Juliancolton for this.
  14. Rt 218 is a challenge to keep open due to its route on the side of Storm King Mountain. A man was killed in an avalanche along 218 during the blizzard in March '93. Shortly after that NYSDOT put up permanent gates on each side of the mountain section to close the road during heavy rain and snow events. Falling rocks/boulders are a somewhat regular occurrence as well. Its a great drive, and a commuter route for folks who work at West Point, they'll likely be closed for months.
  15. I just checked Google earth and see there’s a dam there but not sure where the gauge is. I’ve seen it down here with a gauge on the Wallkill that will do that due to dams upstream. It’s just odd that the forecast had it dropping so I was wondering if the gauge was having issues too but I’m not familiar with this one.
  16. Does anyone know if it’s normal for this location to plateau like that?
  17. Yeah, we need a break. 14.30” here over that same time period.
  18. Living on the edge with a battery down to 9%…
  19. 4.97”, rate down to .19 now thankfully but much damage has already been done in Orange County
  20. I’m at 5” and the radar looked worse down there
