Another trace here in the last hour.

Twas the excess of alcohol the night before that was the true culprit. Nonetheless while I do like the beach if I had to choose I'd take the mountains over the beach. 79/71 here with the breeze, looks like I may get clipped by some showers in an hour or two.

The last time I was on a boat on the ocean I could've used some wind...my uncle was letting my 7 and 8 year old sons at the time steer the boat in circles at slow speeds as I sat in the back rather hungover. Well the fumes of the exhaust, which was not getting blown away fast enough for me, and going in circles in the hot sun was enough for me to add some chum to the water. Some decent gusts up here in the "highlands" that are making it a bit more tolerable for someone like me who would love all of summer to be like yesterday.

Yeah, Upton has 30mph there in the hourly forecast.
-
I had a trace this morning.
-
And just like that it's humid again.
-
For at least the third time in the past 10 years the tennis courts fence was blown over the other night. The other times were 5/15/18 and mid September 2014 thanks to a microburst.

Power came back here at little after 11am, so a little over 14 hours it was out. That doesn’t come close to the Snowicane in 2010 when I was out for 3 and a half days. Edit: When the tree clipped my house in the 5/15/18 event that outage was close to 2010 but that was due to the damage on the house.

A lovely morning thankfully, still no restoration estimates from Central Hudson. Guess it's about time to fire up the genny.
-
That storm was pretty legit here, power out, a number of branches down but no damage or wires down around my house.

@BxEngineI'm sure you're familiar with chocolate pudding shots. So we swapped out the chocolate pudding for vanilla pudding (already had it in the house) and replaced the traditional Baileys with the Vanilla Mint Baileys...you'll thank me later.
-
Happy to report that many trees starting to bloom leaves again out this way.
-
Clearly you don't like where I like my dews LOL. 1.01" on the day.
-
I've had two today, it's just more humid.
-
Round 2 of the day absolutely dumping here.

Picked up .46 at home with that cell which gets me over an inch for the month, 1.33 to be exact.

The trees with leaves in this photo are about 50% of normal and you can see that oak wiped clean as well as the one to the lower right. It'll be interesting to see how hot I get this week as I dont have the shade in general that I normally do.

We went to the Renegades game yesterday and saw those huge patches of a good chunk of the whole valley chewed up. 48 for the low here this morning.
-
.29" here

That could be the dead ash trees from the emerald ash borer too, I saw a lot of those along that stretch last summer. I was out in western Orange County last weekend and the hillsides along 84 had lots of bare spots from the caterpillars. I’ve heard the New England guys talk about this for a couple years and now I see it in person it’s no joke. Up to .23” on the day with rain still falling.

Will see what happens with the batch heading in now but the showers here earlier today looked more impressive on radar then they were thru the tipper. We shall see.
-
Around here the radar is more impressive looking than what's actually falling thus far.
