  1. Well that’s always going to sting. And it’s a chicken or the egg argument but the storm coming further up the NJ coast pushed those crazy totals to our N and W and that led to the bit of warming, no? Clearly not jackpotting will always bother people but at the end of the day a foot of snow with blowing and drifting and bitter cold, deep winter conditions, a week before Christmas is nothing to complain about IMO. Winter was cancelled at the start of December and look at what we have outside the window now.
  2. 25/23 10.8”, light snow, blowing and drifting snow.
  3. The radar is filling in nicely to our south, I think it pounds again soon enough.
  4. Nice! I noticed there are no radar echoes near me but it’s still snowing.
  5. I can promise you that won’t happen here LOL
  6. That’s interesting but you can’t measure snow every hour and add that up, you know that!
  7. My son and I just referred to this classic as well LOL
  8. That measurement was from one of my extra boards I threw down in a spot that in hindsight is not located all that well, my wife’s car is likely blocking it a bit. My other board is out further in the open yard, didn’t wonder down there.
  9. 19/16 and closing in on 5” but terrible flakes out there now, not a good sign for the short term.
  10. I wonder if it caused by the dry slot down near Philly making it further north. Not a fan of that Euro run, we shall see.
  11. 20/16 solid moderate snow, border line heavy snow.
  12. March 2017 the dry slot capped me at 20", hopefully it stays to my south in this storm.
  13. Was going to post this in the other thread but then the weenies who have no concept of geography would either call me a liar or think that I was referring to their own back yard...Euro has us flirting with 0 or slightly below Saturday morning.
  14. If you think people will realize this its entirely possible that you will end up unhappy.
  15. Violently agree. Right in my hood NYS 416 can get some serious drifting, NYSDOT will be pushing the banks back for days.
  16. What JC said, which is much more eloquent than I what I can say which is its always a nowcast IMO as there are so many nuances with storms like this. Part of the reason I got.4” in one of those busts up here was that I was stuck in subsidence as a heavy band dumped snow about 10 miles to my south. Where those areas set up always comes down to nowcasting.
  17. It did make quite the jump, it took long enough!
