    That's rare anyway-last time we had a few weeks of a great pattern was Feb '21

    Even the January pattern turned out to be only 7 days-originally looked like a couple to 3 weeks.

    Phases 4-5-6 have been favored last few winters due to warm SST's in that area. Phase 8 has been almost non exisitent

    That's what gets clicks so they run with it. Nature of the beast these days. 1st half of met winter has been god-awful-hopefully Feb delivers but if it doesn't it's another 10 day winter like some recent ratters...

    it's always terrible after a rainstorm when it freezes up. Hopefully we can at least get a stretch of no rain-that's the killer-warm and dry is fine assuming there's a decent base
