if you look at satelite there's an area out over the ocean off NJ/LI that's sunny...

not sure why it's run that far out 4x a day...best within 0-6 hrs anything beyond that is fantasy

0z HRRR is a bit more realistic-the 12z & 18z run had a foot of rain over LI by 2pm...that's gone now. (granted it's out of range that far out)
