  1. Yeah lmk next time I'm off tomorrow until Sunday for my trip I would have went. I thought it was going to be 12-15 with inch per hour rates. Never expected this.
  2. I didn't even know this is a thing. You need to post here more often so many new things I've learned tonight.
  3. I really should have drove there and stayed at my uncles and aunts place in the hills of binghamton, its technically on the way to the Adirondacks where im going to Friday. Bad planning by me.
  4. go outside and take a video and grab me some pics. also welcome to the forums.
  5. Yeah Syracuse got around 42" from the storm I believe.
  6. From NE forums. This guy is a met. My buddy just measured 29” at his place near BGM. No end in sight. Based on radar he probably gets to 40”. Another poster just measured 31" just north of BGM. 5-6"/hr stuff. once in a lifetime thing glad I stayed up
  7. ...Very heavy snow will continue early this morning... Expect snowfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour through 5 AM with whiteout conditions. Travel will remain very difficult during this time. Motorists are urged not to travel, but if you must travel, be prepared for snow covered roads and near zero visibilities.
  8. Yep, you can see the rotation north of Harrisburg after that it goes into the pivot. 3-4 hours at least of these rates, then the snow rates will weaken but not end until later this morning.
  9. Band is still strenghtening 5-6" per in those oranges
  10. I can buy 40" from the storm and 8-10" from enhancement.
  11. @lakeeffectkid383 Nice lake enhanced band near your house, how is it looking?
  12. https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/webcams/binghamton_united-states-of-america_5109177
  13. On NE forum confirmed Met in Bing that measured 10" in 2 hours.
  14. Luckily I'm off tomorrow. Check out the webcams around binghamton. It's like a strong LES band.
  15. Are you measuring every 6 hours? Or just keeping track of snow depth, you’re likely well above 25” with compaction.
  16. It looks locked in place for at least another few hours.
  17. Look at radar, it definitely looks like at least aided it a little bit. The backside of that storm was a well aligned nw flow with loads of moisture. Tough to argue it didn’t with that track, temps, and unfrozen lake. And a snowmap like this.
  18. Possible 40” totals there. Has a chance at an all time purely synoptic event in New York State.
