  1. Some videos of yesterdays walk in the snow and snowblowing my driveway.
  2. Jan 17th 2019 can be added with 17.2". As well as the Jan 2014 event I believe and then this one. I'm not sure if there were any others?
  3. Rodgers about to win me $850 in fantasy winnings. Hes the best QB in the league in the snow.
  4. Anyone get a radar loop of the event? The one thing I forgot to do. =/
  5. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
  6. Went to Knox farms today and got to enjoy the new snowfall through the trails there. Long range not looking good
  7. Need cold air to get lake effect. Global warming is making that quite hard to get these days.
  8. The NAM was showing 3-4' for the tug 12 hours before event.
  9. Glad you got hit wolf, what model did the best for your spot? I know models were spitting out 3-4' for tug and that did not happen.
  10. Phin has a fantastic Nest cam set up of the white mountains in NH. https://video.nest.com/live/URwoSmP3dg
  11. Yeah, you need cold air to get good LES. Lake temps are cooling a little, so you need even more cold air. The air coming the next 2 weeks isn't even close to what we got yesterday. At least 3 weeks out from next LES event. Might have some small ones behind these storms, but nothing like yesterday.
  12. Last January only had 1-2 days with highs below freezing, crazy. Was +8.1 https://w2.weather.gov/climate/index.php?wfo=buf
  13. Long range looks pretty meh, but can always get a surprise with the outlook. It isn't torch straight for 2 weeks. Can definitely get lucky with an event.
  14. Buffalo is +3 in temps for Dec and +10.7 for snowfall departure. Just goes to show you all it takes is 1 event to get back to normal.
  15. We just had that last January. January 2020 was the 9th warmest in the records.
  16. Strong ice storm signal around new year with that high pressure to the north
  17. There was definitely some cliff jumping yesterday when all the models showed less snow, a more westerly wind on the euro, local stations showing a few inches of snow, and kbuf slashing totals. Glad I held my ground. The euro did terrible with wind direction.
  18. I had to reassure Devin about 15 times via text that the band would make it to his place. I was actually nervous as his place is quite far north, was going to be close call there.
  19. I definitely called it better then KBUF did with this event. Not sure what they were seeing in saying it was going to hit the city last night. I always use upstream radars to dictate future conditions, it almost always works during now-cast events. The local mets are terrible, not even worth watching. Andy Parker is only good one left.
  20. I'm actually in a pretty bad spot for snow in this area. I'm only about 5 miles from the lake. If you go another 10 miles SE of my location you get to over 1k feet and they average 200" a year. I average around 110-115".
