  1. My pool is nearly buried https://video.nest.com/live/7Lel0fR0Ox
  2. Tough to go to sleep with whats happening outside right now. Heavy snow, closing in on a foot.
  3. Getting it now, heaviest stuff of the night moving through. Even graupel mixed in.
  4. Band is widening with gaps of banding. Still getting heavy snow. A weird look, obviously some shear coming into play.
  5. Do you have totals for Ohio? We picked up nearly 7" of snow in 3 hours tonight.
  6. Check out that little swirl near long point, looks WSW winds https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=CASET
  7. @SouthBuffaloSteve Lots of convection near silvercreek.
  8. Shear and high winds are not allowing it to get it really going. I mean almost 7" in 3 hours was incredible, but the potential was there for more. Next few hours will be interesting. Still think morning hours we see our strongest band.
  9. Convinced the wife to go for another jebwalk. Got some amazing video.
  10. It's holding on here, moderate to occasionally heavy snow.
  11. Band is weakening on radar as that shortwave moves through. I expect it to strengthen overnight and slowly move north. Going to measure at 12pm and wipe board.
  12. ...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN WYOMING... CENTRAL ERIE...NORTHEASTERN CHAUTAUQUA AND WESTERN GENESEE COUNTIES... At 1034 PM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates of one to two inches per hour is located from near Silver Creek to Elma Center to Batavia on the southern edge, and from near Lackawanna to Lancaster to Pembroke on the northern edge. This band of snow will remain nearly stationary late this evening. A rumble of thunder is also possible within the most intense portion of the band of snow.
  13. It does look very similar, but way weaker. The band isn't close to that strength.
  14. If this locks in all night, we will have a few feet by tomorrow morning.
  15. If you check this radar it shows a more westerly direction coming in from the NW, but the winds in WNY will remain WSW. The convergence is going to be anywhere from south buffalo to Eden overnight. I do think the band will slowly intensify overnight as more moisture is added in and shear eases. https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=WKR
  16. KBUF thinks its going to go north and then back south. I don't see it going north until the morning. I think you guys are right and KBUF has fallen off quite abit. I think if anything it drifts a little bit south.
  17. I think it has a large impact. NW flow events are your guys bread and butter. To get those events you need consistent cold air that has been so hard to find the last few years.
  18. Devin went chasing said 4-5" in west seneca/Op area. About 2-3" so far of new snow here.
