  1. Any recommendations for snow shoes? Seems MSR and Tubbs are the best?
  2. RGEM and HRRR are the only models showing this much snow for KBUF for next event. Actually the WRF models do too. HRRR
  3. Probably get a new thread going later tonight as it should get more active around here.
  4. The ravens scare me. But you have to beat the best to get to the superbowl. Lamar is a terrible QB, but an amazing RB. Have Milano spy him the entire game.
  5. That's a nice band, will be interesting to see if Bills get Sat/Sun game.
  6. The average high/low is 31/18. So you don't even need below normal temps to get snow in prime winter, but to generate lake effect you would ideally want colder than whats being modeled.
  7. Easily the Steelers, Lamar is a ticking time bomb. Dudes a freak athlete. Steelers have nothing that scares me aside from Watt and we were able to stop him last time. The Titans beat us pretty bad earlier this season and the Ravens just beat them.
  8. It looks like some -9 850s moving across 40 degree water temp would be sufficient enough with some aided synoptic lift. Something to watch until the weekend cutter.
  9. I believe KBUF is using the standard water temp at recording location which is at 36. If that above temp graph is correct the deltas would increase quite a bit and allow for a decent band to form. Close call.
  10. KBUF saying just flurries so will be interesting to see what happens Tues/Weds
  11. Those in Texas/Oklahoma are having the best winter of their lives.
  12. The models are really struggling, but I think the overall picture is that cooler air is coming and in late January you don't need much for it to snow. At least some stuff to track.
  13. I agree and especially if we face the Steelers. I actually don't want this. Give me what we had today.
  14. That Bills game nearly gave me a heart attack. Most stressful last few minutes of any game in awhile. The Colts should have won it, the coach threw that game as well as their FG kicker missing that 30 yarder.
  15. Starting to look better for a decent LES band to form over Erie county Tues-Weds time period. Even the GFS is showing it. Could be a little sneaky event.
  16. The pattern change begins next week around the 15th.
  17. Dave the entire 2nd half of GEFS look like this. This is also peak climo so any blue is 20s, and purple is teens/single digits for highs.
  18. Euro ENS. This is when pattern change begins. It should lead to an eventually -EPO later on in the month but still way too far out. We will have a much better idea by next weekend.
