  1. Yeah it hammers my location. Temps marginal, but lots of synoptic support.
  2. Yeah I just meant for here, you should still do well.
  3. Analogs for this weekend. This is a higher elevation event, Chau. ridge and tug. http://www.eas.slu.edu/CIPS/ANALOG/DFHR.php?reg=EC&fhr=F060&rundt=2021011412&map=thbCOOP72
  4. Won't be getting much lake effect with these temps
  5. Yeah, that's crazy. I don't know how you get good lake effect with temps that warm. I know lake temps are very warm, but still the temps are so marginal. Synoptic aid can help a lot though as it becomes more lake enhanced vs lake effect snow, especially out your way closer to the low.
  6. You're right, we're in a really good spot for synoptic. In the battlezone, feel pretty confident in 1/2 storms the next 2-3 weeks. We take.
  7. Canadian would be awesome, nearly 2' here. Tossed farther then uncle Ricos football.
  8. GFS run is pretty warm, no real arctic air at all within 10 days.
  9. I think 10-15" is easily in range, elevation will help a lot with a marginal event like this.
  10. 10:1 34" in southern tug where @TugHillMatt used to live.
  11. This is really good setup for wolf. Ideal actually if the temps were colder. I think you get over a foot. Pound town wolf!
  12. We can't be picky this year. We take what we can get.
  13. The air just isn't cold though, my only issue. Looks marginal. The synoptic support should help some though. Think this is an elevation based event, but looks better your way then Erie aside from the ridges.
  14. Spend it all before you die, especially if you don't have kids. I bought a relatively cheap house so that I can go on 2-3 international trips a year for the next 30 years. Always be conservative to a point, but you have one life to live and its a lot harder to live it when you're older or get health issues out of no where like my mom. A sickness like she got will eat everything you've saved and more. It's tough to plan for stuff like that.
  15. Here are the homes around here. https://www.zillow.com/hamburg-ny-14075/?searchQueryState={"pagination"%3A{}%2C"usersSearchTerm"%3A"14075"%2C"mapBounds"%3A{"west"%3A-78.99134619702149%2C"east"%3A-78.68063910473633%2C"south"%3A42.654701121915195%2C"north"%3A42.80135471927603}%2C"regionSelection"%3A[{"regionId"%3A63405%2C"regionType"%3A7}]%2C"isMapVisible"%3Atrue%2C"filterState"%3A{"ah"%3A{"value"%3Atrue}}%2C"isListVisible"%3Atrue%2C"mapZoom"%3A13} @lakeeffectkid383 You should buy this one https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/6523-Boston-State-Rd-Hamburg-NY-14075/30350680_zpid/
  16. Yeah, but with home ownership the value of the home goes up. If renting/buying are equal in price then I'd favor in the buying side. I have 50k in equity on my home and I just bought last year. But if you factor in upkeep/maintenance its tough. I enjoyed renting as I didn't have to worry about snowblowing/mowing lawn/etc...Did it for 9 years. Allowed us to travel all over with no restrictions.
  17. If you out to towns with 2k people in them around here the prices get much lower. But city/suburbs you're going to pay quite a bit.
  18. It's because interest rates are so low. If interest rates were higher we would not be seeing this. It makes the monthly payment much lower and more affordable thus increasing the prices of the homes as renting is now more expensive then buying is.
  19. Relatively low cost of living, very good colleges, lake erie, lots of medical jobs and tech jobs.
  20. The market is insane in Buffalo, people are moving here for the first time since the glory days. Population actually went up in WNY. My house went from 160k to 200k+ in appraisal within the last year. They are opening up a large Amazon distribution center in Hamburg, and another in Grand Island. If you create more jobs, more people will move there.
  21. A person I work with put an offer in for this house on Feddick https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/8030-Feddick-Rd-Hamburg-NY-14075/30273520_zpid/
