  1. Really goes to show you that you need cold air to get the goods. NW flow events are common in arctic regimes. We haven't had too many of those the last few years and maybe going forward with global warming. Events like yesterday with low QPF can result in high totals with higher ratios.
  2. The city of Buffalo and Northtowns are the only place in pretty much all of NYS with no snow on the ground.
  3. There we go tug, how was your first real LES event?
  4. I'm not so sure about that. 17" and that was pretty heavy wet snow. In some locations it did, or was close to it. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF Not sure how much Carol got, but South Redfield got a foot. Ratios were just off with temps in the low 30s.
  5. Based on some of the trails conditions for the Dacks. There is anywhere from 3-5 feet on the ground up there right now.
  6. Just drove by downtown and definitely a different world north of Lackawanna. There is no snow at all at my moms apartment in Tonawanda. Also I saw no ice at all on lake erie. Even the pond by tifft park is unfrozen. I really don't see lake erie completely freezing over this year.
  7. If it was extremely safe wouldn't Roswell be giving its patients the vaccine as quickly as possible? It seems there are some reservations and isn't this a relatively new vaccine with MRNA vs a typical flu vaccine with a weakened strain into the body?
  8. Maybe put a table where highest depth is and jump off car roof into it for bills mafia weekend?
  9. 3 feet depth there by tomorrow night. Think I’m ganna head down there this weekend and find highest snow depth haha
  10. I like wolfies spot quite a bit for this event. I see a foot.
  11. No I don’t see that on the table, but puts us into accumulating snow.
  12. Hrrr is worst model for lake effect IMO. It had buffalo getting 8” as the event was happening. They got nothing lol. Take the rgem and slash qpf by 25-30%
  13. 18z eps are pretty far northwest. I expect a correction on op run tonight.
  14. EPS look pretty close to OP run, maybe a tiny bit more north.
  15. The GEFS is pretty far south too. I highly favor suppression over amped. In 2 weeks I favor amped though, think we get into a more cutter pattern again.
  16. Gets put into the shredder as it heads east. The farther west you are the better I think with this storm. The NE forum was praying for -NAO for years and years and they finally get it and its blocked every storm the last 6 weeks there. Blocking isn't the end all be all with winter storms. A lot needs to come together for it to work.
  17. EPS look pretty good for most of the area with next storm.
  18. Wow look at all those 30" totals, really good storm, winner was springville with nearly 3 feet https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
