NAM and Euro have fairly good agreement at h5. -
Following the Ukie?

Quite a bit colder this Euro run than the 0z. Surface temps in the upper 20's for most of it instead of above freezing in many areas.

850 line barely makes it to the outer cape, and the 925 never gets there.

Most dismissed the Ukie, but it could have been right.

It wasn't non-qpf. It had 1.4" for my hood.

Hate to bring this up, but the Ukie sucked.

GFS almost never fails to verify a 10 day cutter, lol. The end of this 18z run has warm heavy spring rains to Maine. Goodbye whatever pack is left after that cutter.

I'm sick of all these elongated and multiple lows this winter, with each one chasing the other's convection.

In terms of timing, the Ukie was similar to the GFS, while the Euro is slower. Hopefully it will catch up and give a colder solution.

That's why it's a warmer solution. Gives more time for the arctic air mass to depart.

Street here already totally snow covered. Temp 32F.

Yesterday it was 1-2 around here. They had <1" down the Cape. They played this one quite conservatively.
