The GFS has blown the thermals at the surface. At this hour they had 35F here. It is 31F now. We have been at freezing or slightly below throughout. The NAM has been the closest on thermals at the surface.

Let's hope that poorly forecasted storm which was a prelude to what happened two weeks later repeats itself again.

TWC still pushing at this hour more rain than snow on a line that includes Boston and surrounding areas on SE.

The Para has been consistent for E MA as opposed to the old GFS.

Well, if the NAM isn't giving 2", the RGEM certainly isn't giving 3".

Well, for not having the technology we do today, with lack of modeling for many of his years, he did pretty well in his forecasts.

NAM cut way back here on qpf. Over half an inch.

Pretty much unchanged from 18z. We take.

TWC forecasting 3-5" for Boston. I guess they are riding the old GFS, CMC and the Ukie, and giving zero play to the PARA, the NAM, even the 12z and18z Euro, among others like HRRR and RAP. Don't get it.

I think the NAM had like 6 hrs of that, at least around here.

Euro put the squish on RGEM's NW VT 2" qpf. That was never going to happen.

21z RAP still bullish for most. Has 1.6" qpf here before any taint, and then only 0.3" of taint before shutting off.

GFS say 4" here. Para says 18". Which do you believe? Para has been consistent throughout. GFS has been all over the place. Para keeps it below freezing here at h850 and h925, GFS has both freezing lines north of us, with the 925 0° line out to ORH and up to Ray.
