    Next week could easily put up the highest anomalies but the following week looks much cooler. It's too early to tell of course but tellies suggest cooler weather is coming. Raindancewx brought up 2011 as far as the ENSO state goes and we all know what happened that October.

    Probably a couple decades or so unless warming really speeds up. A much more pessimistic scenario would be by 2030 unless we see a massive reduction in emissions by then (very doubtful).

    It's been so warm that our lows are only 5-6 degrees from average highs. And next week looks even warmer than this one

    Joe B. is the biggest quack in the meteorological world. His said the 2010s would be like the 70s regarding cooling. Instead the opposite happened. And all his hurricane calls have been garbage too.

    Basically a slighter cooler version of this month for the next 5 months. At least the heating bills will be low.

    Raindancewx strongly had 11-12 and 01-02 as analogs. And just because it was wrong last time doesn't mean it'll be wrong again.

    I think a record warm October is a lock. Looking at +15 to +20 minimum departures into mid-late October. Maybe this will continue all winter.

    Gfs has tons of easterly flow next 10-14 days. If this were March/April we'd be in the 40s with dreary conditions & gusty winds nearly everyday. But in October it's not so bad.

    When things do flip they could do so very sharply. I could see 80s deep into October followed by a freeze less than a week later. However as of now it looks very likely that the well AN weather will continue.

    I don't think we'll have to wait long for a Cat 2/3 with a solid eye making landfall near the NYC area.

    Phoenix, LA & Vegas will likely see cooler days than us next 2 weeks. They'll probably get a sub 70 high before Newark does.

    Remember when Joe Bastardi said we were supposed to be entering a cooling period right now. Jesus is that guy a clown, how do people still take him seriously. Turns out if you keep increasing emissions & CO2 levels the planet gets warmer..who woulda thought.

    Sneaky high could build in from the northeast to deliver a frost 2nd half of October.

    Very scary stuff. The warming is accelerating so quickly. It's only a matter of time till these anomalies arrive in July.

    Jesus is the Euro warm. Highest height anomalies on the planet for eastern US/Canada. Like our own version of the Pacific NW ridge this summer.
