  1. We did not play Bethpage Black. We’ll do it at some point later this summer. My friends played it twice, says it’s worth every penny to experience it. That’s awesome you get to play with your kid. A perfect sport/game to do so. Who’s better? I hope I can share it with one of mine when they get older.
  2. Ha. I don’t scoff at riders though. Once in a while, I’ll ride. Just depends. Some courses you can only ride, comes with green fees so might as well take it. And Usually big heat I may ride but my friend who I played with always walks so it’s just good company to walk together. I’m probably 80/20 walker/rider.
  3. It’s not about being cheap...I’m always a walker. Good exercise and I enjoy the game more that way. I actually played better on the back so not like I got tired. I just felt sluggish most of the round.
  4. Still can’t touch the flag stick. No feely.
  5. 45/42, struggled. Walked The Ranch (9.5miles) carrying my bag in the heat. Felt sluggish the entire round. Back to the drawing board.
  6. Nice dude. I haven’t broke 80 yet this season but I’m close. Playing The Ranch today, today is the day...until it’s not.
  7. More then just PE’s though. They have a variety of useful uses. Like anything one ingests, moderation and knowledge of intended use is key. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2907129/
  8. Been there. I still melt on holes but no longer smash or throw clubs. The game is a head fuk though. The only major sport you can blame no one but yourself (ok sometimes the course). Not the refs, teammates, coaches, etc...which is why I love it. All about the self.
  9. I hit a couple at the range today that were deep. The back mesh fence is 275 and I hit the mesh on the fly. But I can very rarely do it on the course so the club never makes it out of the trunk.
  10. Getting out a lot, nice. My friend and I are thinking Bethpage Black Monday, if we are feeling adventurous. Partying starts tomorrow so we’ll see if we’re up standing on Monday morning to attack such a course.
  11. I agree. He does strike me to be almost Reed like though Reed is the cream of dikhead crop. I like guys like Ricky Fowler, Bubba, and even Rory I hear is a cool dude. He comes on with the guys on Me and My Golf youtube channel for pointers and strikes me as pretty down to earth even if you have to be cocky to be that successful. There are others but you can generally tell from their mannerisms on the course and how they respond to fans. One of my biggest indicators is when fans (especially kids) reach out for high fives or fist bumps and how a golfer responds. Show a little humility and appreciation and I’ll support you.
  12. Is it swing or character related?
  13. I’m not a Bryson guy but apparently he drank tons of protein shakes every day during the shutdown which he says has attributed to his big power gains. I think he’s doing PE’s but who am I to judge as I take SARMS myself, ha. So if you want to increase your power...drink like 10 protein shakes a day. That and/or start taking SARMS.
  14. It was only $42 to walk it on a weekend. I’ll make the 1.5hr drive for that anytime for a great track and getting the round in at 4hrs. If you find Callaways, just thank me...I sprayed several of them OB.
  15. Played Crumpin Fox. Wish i hadn’t. Had a stretch of 5 pars in a row on the back but other than that, it was a struggle. 47/43.
  16. Battery operated is the way to go. The only thing I have left is to get the Ryobi ride on mower and I’m gas free with my tools. Eventually, it’s on to cars.
  17. Struggled at Unionvale on Saturday. Of course I was crushing it off the tee (usually my weakest part of my game) but struggled with my irons (usually my strongest part of my game). Putted ok. Just never got into the groove. Signed a 47/42 scorecard. Meh.
  18. Just make it snow a lot. It’s pathetic when winter feels like spring and spring feels like winter.
  19. That’s a good deal. Enjoy your round. Paid 50 today to walk.. but I always like to walk it.
  20. If we can combine our games, we’d be scratch golfers ha. Had 33 putts today, pretty decent.
  21. 41/41 at Wintonbury Hilllls. Struggled off the tee a bit again. If I can fix that, I’ll start breaking 80 this season.
  22. Well the last two winters were Nino’s, right?, so it can’t get any worse.
  23. Yea, 300 is maxed out. 275ish is a reasonable drive for a decent amateur though. Wind, elevation, firmness...all factors.
