  1. Yea true. And those moments where a player makes a long putt or sticks a close approach shot but other than that...it’s not a game changer really.
  2. I do as well. I like feeling like I’m on the course walking next to the players and can hear the convos with their caddies...and the occassional JT f-bomb lol. I don’t need the ‘get in the hole’ drunk fan yells after a tee shot.
  3. FedEx Cup playoffs plus majors in the fall...can’t beat it, even without fans.
  4. Yea. Loved how they setup the course too. Challenging but nothing stupid like a US Open. Nobody lost it, Colin just went after it and won it. Chipped it in on 14 and then the drive on 16 was an all timer. If there were fans...the place would have erupted. There was a point where like 10 players were -10 and -9...it was anyone’s trophy to win. But Colin took it. Especially when he hadn’t tried to drive 16 over the first 3 rounds... It was a calculated aggressive call. Hats off.
  5. +1 it is. Seems like you can score in the mornings but as the day progresses, the wind picks up and the greens firm up a bit. It’s just enough to crunch the field. Take Li out (who couldn’t hit a GIR today so he’ll fall back) and everyone is within 7 shots. I mean, literally...anyone who made the cut has a chance. If you shoot a 64 in the morning tomorrow, you’re in play for Sunday. Great PGA championship imo.
  6. I hit my local GolfQuest range several times a week. It has a pretty crappy chip/putt/bunker practice facility but I still spend 30min after my range session
  7. You don’t have one close to you anymore?
  8. Scoring is up today, unexpectedly, so cut line will probably be at Even. Weekend scoring should come down a bit though.
  9. Good first round. Cut line looking +1 atm. Some surprises with short players like Kaymer and Zach Johnson but if you hit fairways and greens....you can keep pace.
  10. Expecting a great PGA. Course is setting up to be a tough but fair test. Hit fairways and greens...and you’ll be fine. Easier said then done when the fairways are pinched in with heavy rough. Conditions in the San Fran marine air won’t help either. Long accurate drivers and good long iron players should do well. I’m pumped for the 4 days.
  11. Brooks went all out on 18 (after birdieing 17 to cut it to 1), had to make birdie to force playoff, while JT was on the 18th green...and didnt have enough Bryson in him to cut the corner and get it over the pond. 18 was playing as the toughest or 2nd toughest hole so without a bomb drive, hard to make 3 there. JT did approach it way over the green on 18 but made a nasty pitch within 2ft.
  12. For the PGA followers...The WGC St Jude was very entertaining and this weekend’s PGA Championship sets up to be a great test. Thick rough and tight fast fairways. Greens shouldn’t be too nasty so accurate OTT (not me) and good long iron players should rise to the top.
  13. Not liking this one bit. I hate damage but to those that get off on it...I wish you all the destruction you can handle.
  14. Yea. Looks like a weak system especially for FL standards.
  15. There is one variable that is easy to forecast though...fading Judah’s NAO calls. If you bet the house on it every winter for the last 10 years, you’d have 9 houses.
  16. All guesses. Some more scientific than others. Not diminishing the work some do. People like Ray abandon their families for a month to print their forecast. I respect the process.
  17. Nice dude. Great to hear. The game is fun when we turn the corner and start striking it more consistently. Of course at our level, we will have blown ups and frustrating holes or rounds...but when we find something that helps us improve, it’s refreshing.
  18. This has been a game changer for me lately. For anyone who hangs their weight too much on their backside and struggles to get forward early...this is a must watch. This video is more than just irons too...it’s a very simple way to think about your golf swing. Love the way how this guy teaches too.
  19. Have it on a Friday or Saturday night so folks can use it as their own private virtual party?
  20. I’m leaning subpar winter myself. Until something positive happens in 2020...bet on persistence, of dogshit.
  21. I bought stiff Titliest woods a few years back but couldn’t hit them so I threw them aside and basically forgot about them. After your advice yesterday, I figure’d I give them a try for the rest of the season, starting today, before getting fitted and felt the difference right away. It’s not magic but it certainly helps. Thanks.
  22. 40/44 at Pound Ridge. Used a different set of woods (stiff shaft) which made a big difference. Had a blow up +4 on 15 with two penalties but other than that...striped it pretty well. Solid improvement off the tee, some leaked right so have to work on bowing the left wrist some more. I beat my bosses too. Happy with my round especially on a very tough course.
