Lightning

Many will do great I am sure. I am not calling this a bust as in fact your area should do well. This type/timing of development and storm path normal leads to the line coming across the state. The heavier cells aim for MBY will split around Howell or westward. Send a piece to Fenton (just to my north) and another toward Brighton. I'll get some rains and hear a bunch of thunder. Then as it moves eastto the east as it explodes over Highland. Sure it doesn't always do that but ~75% it does with systems this storm path. We shall see!

Sun finally came out at 3:30pm. Enjoy every one getting storms. Seen this story 1 too many times for my back yard. At least we are finally getting a good event for many in the forum.

84.7F on my system. Dews around 60. It felt hot in the sun as this was one of the hotter days IMBY this year. Plus we were outside all day!!

Crazy as the dew points here have been in the mid-60s today. It has rained since ~9AM this morning (mostly light but I will take it ).

90% agree. But I do admit there is a fun adrenaline rush watching a Derecho coming on radar for some hours and then getting blasted by a major severe storm. Yeah the aftermath and possibly days without power I wish we could somehow avoid that part of it.

Humidity was definitely much more noticeable. There were some some isolated showers northern Oakland county. Might be some more this afternoon.

We have not hit 90F IMBY yet per my weather system. I checked Flint (nearest major airport) and they have hit 89 four times but no 90s My area is usually a couple degrees cooler than Flint so my weather station looks to be doing it's job correctly

You know it's bad when non-weather people are commenting about the lack of Thunderstorms.

Well looks like the smoke had no impact on yesterday Loads of fun in SE MI to Northern OH! Sad it is all over for the next 10+ days

Sun starting to poke out here. It was nice to have a little fun! Sad to think that is for precip for at least the next 10 days

You look to do well. I got brushed by it which is better than nothing. Ended up chasing it some but never saw any great streaks just mainly flashes of lightning and heavy rain. Rush hour chasing is the worst for chasing though so came back home. My daughter was out in Brighton so hopefully hear how good it was there later.

Sadly the cell east of Lansing broke apart

It is interesting is how many storms will be move WNW to Howell and may a right turn toward Brighton. This storm did exactly that. I admit I feel for the WNW track but when you are in a drought you have high hopes the normal trends don't happen
