  1. Not looking like a solid line any more. Plus I love how the storms are now firing to my east. I can see lightning flash from them. Oh well time for bed.
  2. Looks like you won't be to disappointed for not driving home.
  3. We'll see but I have seen many lines fall apart or be a shadow of what they were as they get east of Lansing. Just hard to get excited when the past few hours were all modeled to be very active and all I have is 0.02" so far. I would take hours of plain heavy rain as opposed to a 5 minute storm with <1/4".
  4. At least you are getting the rain. Dry pavement here right now. Quick showers that feed the north rains is all I am getting. . I hate when DTX this morning had MBY as ground zero for the heavy rains ... Flint northward win this one. Maybe I can get a storm when the backend goes through. No holding my breath that is for sure.
  5. Same. I was very surprised. I was expecting the ring of fire to set up much further north. This is what makes the weather so much fun. Mother Nature don't care what the models say!!
  6. I would have gone but no way with my agenda the next 2 days. Couldn't have picked a worse time for me. Hopefully MBY does well tonight
  7. One of my favorite Thunderstorm occurred during an ice storm.
  8. Of course it's 2 counties to my south. Surprise level => 0%
  9. You are a rain magnet like Josh's snow magnet
  10. I am very interested how this will work out. Must say I am always a bit nervous when DTX puts some of the heaviest totals IMBY. Hoping this evening/tonight will be the biggest event since the March snowstorm for MBY.
  11. I feel yah. Seems like the rich keep getting richer in this pattern. Hopefully todays system breaks that trend for us poor folks
  12. Here is one of the fun thunderheads this evening all around our area.
  13. I think Lima will get something in the next few days too! You had something go through AA today of course!
  14. I have been doing some landscaping. Once I get down about 4-5" it is pretty dry.
  15. Tomorrow afternoon and evening looks interesting but I am just not bitting on it yet. Yes I agree it has been another summer of no nocturnals. Still have a good 2-3 months. March was my best snow month. Come on September 1986!!
  16. I got nicked by that cell. Hoping the next one gets here too. I have pretty much been in the same camp as you. Kinda feels like this lately:
  17. Just had one of the cells go through here. Quick heavy rain and some winds (nothing that strong here). I wasn't expecting the stronger ones to be up there either.
  18. Not trying to belittle or make light the events in Vermont. But I would love to get widespread 4-8" rain totals like that.
  19. I still don't get why they insist on calling it 'normal'. It is an average (as you said). If each day did exact what that chart showed it would be the most abnormal weather ever for the Midwest/Great Lakes.
  20. That is good to hear about the beneficial rains. We got nada yesterday and last night. From my understanding we didn't get much IMBY (I wasn't here) the past 5 days as the heavier rains went around. My rain gauge sadly agrees. Glad I missed a miss.
  21. The past 10 days you have had a lot more than MBY. Chicago has had some good events now in the past week or so but so has several area's in lower MI. I like that it is active as I know for MBY will get missed at times and hammered during others. Normally the hammering happens which I am out of town . This time it didn't for change as I was out of town the past 5 days. Hopefully one of these events soon set's up just right.
  22. Been a long time since I have seen a major bust in the right direction like Chi Town got today. The past 2 days everything has found a way to miss. I should sell myself a a weather curse to towns that don't want bad weather . I could be an instant millionaire
