  1. Event total that past 3 days = 0.17". Might get a couple hundredth tonight but nothing more based on radar. Local bust for me but many areas did much better. September total = 0.31". Each model run seems to be trending drier and keeping this tropical system just south of here. Hoping it changes as I know the model do like to change but not counting on it. September may have been my best summer month of 2024 with countless sunny warm days. Of course I was only home maybe 4 weeks total all of June, July and August.
  2. Wife is in Tampa and suppose to fly back on Friday. That's gonna be interesting!!
  3. Awesome to someone getting great rain in Wisconsin and surrounding areas. Remnants moving into this area but not looking like anything all that exciting. Nice to see at least see a bit of rain. It has been a long time since I've seen anything like Madison got the past 24 hours. Congratulation Madison friends.
  4. No rain here today. Next chance Sunday evening into Monday.
  5. Some active storms around your parts today!!
  6. Sadly when I was going through southern OH and West Virginia it is so much worse then here!!! Thankfully the models are showing some precip!! Though I must say I have been enjoying the extended nice weather days
  7. Interesting that it says none for my area. Based on soil moisture, lake level, stream flow and the near by pond that I monitor (see it every day I walk the dog), it is more like D1 here. I know my area is drying than several of the surrounding areas as the last few systems missed/went around here by a couple miles. I willing bet that is why.
  8. Drove through Columbus area last weekend on my way to Virginia Tech. It was definitely brutal from Columbus through West Virginia!!!
  9. Models final hint at something more than dry and warm. Wouldn't surprise me to get a week or so of action to go right back to a dry and mild pattern. Of course it would surprise me if something else happens
  10. Wow. Just drove the other day to Virginia Tech. Drought conditions just starting the past couple weeks IMBY. From Columbus OH to Blacksburg VA, the drought is crazy severe. Especially southern OH and West Virginia where trees are so stressed they are changing colors already with several trees dropping leaves.
  11. Well the good part of this pattern is I don't need to cut the lawn anytime soon.
  12. 4 rounds of thunderstorms in less than 36 hours. Love it
  13. Most people today lives their lives in A/C. 1988 I didn't have A/C and survived. 1988 I was in high school and my high school didn't have A/C. They never canceled classes and everyone survived there too. In fact I don't recall anyone even thinking twice about it. A/C is part of the problem and has created a ton of pansies!!!
  14. I skipped one year and I agree!!! Doing it yearly works best. I normally have it done already but I was away over 7 weeks this summer. I need to get that planned!!
  15. Now that we use Excess Heat Warnings commonly for heat waves. Maybe we should add another warning: Incineration Warning for temps above 100.
  16. My family members in Waseca/Mankato areas don't mind the break.
  17. It sure has been a good while. Enough improvement not to be a bust but still a significantly less than SW MI got.
  18. The HRRR and some HiRez models had it blasting through pretty strong but yes several models did have it dying quicker. I noticed there was a battle with what would happen in SE MI.
  19. Sound much better much better than remnants I am getting
  20. I was hoping this would be one that was going to just plow across Lower Michigan this morning but rather a solid MCS for SW MI and a decaying MCS for SE MI.
  21. Awesome. Sounds like a fun storm. Not looking good on radar for me you can see it splitting apart east of Lansing!!. Oh well nothing I can do to change it How was the lightning with it??
