  1. Zombie Ophelia ended up misting 0.02" of rain IMBY around 3 am this morning. That brought the 3-day event total to 0.43", with a final monthly total for September of 6.96" (assuming no more drifts this way). That was somewhat higher than last September's (2022) 6.11" total but fall less than September 2021's 8.57". It was twice as much as September 2020's 3.04" however (the year I got this particular station). Ended up hitting a high of 69 once the sun came out and stayed out, after a low of 58. It's currently 66 with dp 62.
  2. Ended up with a surprise 0.05" of rain during a few hours before So far am at 6.92" for the month at post time. Bottomed out at 57 this morning and am currently at my high of 65 with dp 62 and overcast. The zombie Ophelia is doing a number on NY.
  3. With the rare sun out yesterday, I topped out at 66 yesterday. And with a low of 52 this morning, I made it up to 63, with overcast all day (I understand some areas briefly had sun but not here). Currently overcast and 61 with dp 58 and stuff backing in off the ocean thanks to zombie Ophelia feeding some offspring. Meanwhile TS Philippe and Rina are getting it on in the central Atlantic.
  4. Made it up to 59 yesterday after a low of 56 and with 0.03" of leftover Ophelia rain yesterday, I had a final total of 3.43" for the 4-day event. Bottomed out at 57 this morning and the sky is clearing (seeing some blue sky) but still mostly cloudy and 59, with dp 50.
  5. Actually picked up another 0.06" with the band pivot on top of the 0.01" from earlier, for today's total so far of 0.07" at post time (3.29" over 3 days).
  6. High yesterday did end up as 66. Picked up 0.01" between 3 - 4 am and with yesterday's 2.14" and Saturday's 1.08", have 3.23" for the 3-day event. Currently a damp and misty 61 with dp 60.
  7. Ended up with 2.14" yesterday while under that band, and coupled with the 1.08" from Sat. and another 0.01" early this morning, that is a whopping 3.23" over 3-days. I will say that none of it was from gully washer downpours. it was mostly 1/4 - 1/3" or less per hour rates that gave time to soak in.
  8. And another 0.65" since the last posting while under that deathband for a 1.87" total for today and now 2.95" over the 2-days. Starting to feel like RedSky. Good thing I got some fall fertilizer out a couple weeks ago. Still getting very light rain and temp s 64 with dp 63.
  9. Am sitting under a light - moderate rain death band and have picked up another 0.39" for 1.22" for the day (2.30" for the 2-day event so far). Currently light rain and 65 with dp 64.
  10. That band has been pretty solid with the light rain and this has literally been an old fashioned "rainy day". From my earlier Ophelia report in that thread, I have picked up another 0.48" for a total of 0.83" for the day so far and 1.91" for a 2-day total. High so far today has been 66 just after 12:30 pm and I'm currently under moderate rain and 66 with dp 65.
  11. Am now under a pivot band as the remnant pushes up from the SW and is giving me some steady 1/4" per hr rain. Finished up yesterday with 1.08" and got up this morning to another 0.07". Now have 0.35" at post time (1.43" for the 2-days) from the on and off showers. Temp has really surged and is 66 with dp 65 (and you can feel the difference).
  12. Temp continues to creep up and still getting spotty showers. Currently windy with 1.07" in the bucket. Temp is 60 with dp 60.
  13. I guess it was about an hour ago I had a loud gust (I guess from where it blew against the back of the house which faces NE) and the temp has slowly crept up (although not at the midnight high of 62 yet). Currently an overcast, breezy and damp 60 with dp 59. Next batch is pushing up from the SE so will see what that nets me (am still siting at 1.00" for the day/event so far).
  14. 5 pm update, Ophelia still a tropical storm that continues to weaken (in other news, TS Philippe has formed in the SE Atlantic but is expected to follow track similar to Hurricane Nigel - recurving to the east well off the coast of Bermuda) -
  15. Not much mention but I did find NBC10 did a blip as they work with KYW for some stuff - https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/downed-power-lines-spark-explosion-and-fire-at-delco-senior-living-complex/3652760/ Last report was that the gas has been contained and shut off in the area, although there are obvious power outages and 2 houses took the brunt of it. I managed to pick up another 0.01" and am now sitting at 1.00" on the nose. My high for the day at post time, was a 62 at midnight, and it's currently an overcast and misty 59 with dp 58.
  16. As an Ophelia-related incident, I had just heard on KYW this afternoon that a tree blew over onto power lines in Yeadon (and there was apparently sparking so am guessing it may have impacted some transformers) and then the sparking lines apparently managed to melt the asphalt on the street and heated up a gas line, that in turn caused a large gas explosion.
  17. It's battling the lower-level dry air per the water vapor depiction (although there is some at the mid-levels but not near the core) -
  18. Got another quick hit from a band that added an additional 0.10" and currently have 0.99" in the bucket for the day so far at post time.
  19. Just discovered there's a spotter a couple miles NW from where I am (they are in Wyncote) and they reported large branches down by the apartment towers there in Cheltenham. I know there is a golf course adjacent to that complex too.
  20. 11 am surge map (not sure how intact the core will be by the time it gets up to S. Jersey but I would think it would push some water into the coastal towns) -
