  1. We are going to pick up a couple of inches with this
  2. Was telling my wife there is no wind (I don't think she cares!) but as intensity goes up more, wind starting to blow. Pretty awesome out right now.
  3. That is what I do every year. Final cut is 2 inches where I can get away with it, 2.5 elsewhere
  4. You must have a.beautiful location....Fond memories on that pond....we had a house on Great Island for many years, great pond for boating with access to go anywhere.....Great Island has changed so much since we sold.....too much NY and CT money moved in, changed the character.....sorry for off topic.
  5. Ground nests are the worst, often don't know it until too late. They have gotten me before.
  6. A flash of lightening and a rumble of thunder here in Walpole.
  7. Neighbor down the road is measuring .93, perfect. Hopefully a bit more tomorrow and should be good for fall lawn, as long as we don't go full on stein.
  8. this second line has fantastic rain rates without the wind, and some pretty good thunder....impressed....my plants and lawn needed this
  9. Here comes the wind, was waiting, it was dead calm.
  10. It is all I want, rain.....Sorry Kev, could do without damage...
  11. I went to college in Milwaukee and my son is out there now, he said it is insane with what they have gotten the last day. Milwaukee is a very under-rated city, nice place.
  12. Beautiful night here in Walpole as I sit outside, temp of 68 and DP of 60 at my neighbor's Davis. I work in Boston, right at Post Office Square and have no dog in the ongoing battle, I enjoy the back and forth. When I finally took a walk around the square at 1:30 today there was a beautiful breeze, very comfortable temps, and while there was some smoky haze, I expected it to be worse based on what I read on twitter before I went out. Just my opinion, but an all around great day.
  13. Yes, they are a nice family. My son went to school with one of their children.
  14. Damage in Walpole last night when they rolled in...massive boom around 10:30 woke me from my sleep, when went to work this morning around 6 I saw that my neighbor's pine got hit, sawed tree in half and splintered fragments into our yard....and then about 2 miles away from us, a horse barn was hit and burned, 8 horses dead, 10 survived
  15. Like many of us, I love snow, but days like today, sitting on the patio, drinking a beer, taking a swim, and looking at the perennials in bloom all over the yard, are certainly difficult to beat.
