    That’s usually what happens. Our longest streak of 80+ this summer currently stands at 12 days, that’s within reach.

    I can’t complain about 80s either, not expecting days on end of 70s just yet. And I guess I’m fairly desensitized to 16 straight days of temperatures at or above normal these days, though I’ll never enjoy it.

    @Bubbler86, I selfishly only looked at temps imby on the 0z and 6z GFS runs, but the 0z has all 16 days getting to at least 80 here and the 6z has the first 15 days getting to 80+.

    Haven’t looked at the CMC in ages, it’s had a terrible cold bias.

    If I were offered a bet where if MDT doesn’t hit 99 the rest of the way, I get $5,000, and if it does, my punishment is death, I would take it.

    Indeed, it’s probably a thought that applies more to PIT, where the max so far is 92, and there are 92 times August 24 or later where the temperature has been 93 or higher. Note that that doesn’t mean 92 years, as 10 of those days were in 1881, 7 in 1884, etc. All in all, it amounts to 38 years out of 150 (25%).

    I would say there’s a better than 70% chance that most places in PA have already reached their highest temperature for 2021. But it could still happen.

    That would be nice. In fairness, the normal high doesn’t drop into the 70s at MDT until the 12th anyway.

    It’s been ugly. A solid inch of stratiform rain so far. Today could be the day we cross into above normal precip for the year, though it’ll require a few more tenths.

    Fantasy GFS looked solid too. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect afternoon highs in the 60s with low humidity, but maybe we can start fading into fall.

    Daily record for tomorrow is 1.87”, so could be reached.

    Currently -1.01” from normal precip so far in 2021. This could very well push us above normal.

    Actually didn’t watch a second of the game, you’d never confuse me with a diehard lol. Really only following the backup QB story at this point.

    Being out of the lineup for the past 3 months would have been a golden opportunity for him to discover the hobby of posting on weather forums.

    All 24 Steelers points were scored with him under center, but yes, it’s preseason.
