    Had some surprisingly cool looking mammatus pass over Mundelein about 30min ago well north of the line. Wouid have gotten a picture but I was soaking in the pool.

    Only made it to 74 next to the lake today. Absolutely perfect and felt so refreshing. Not sure what to really make of tomorrow but hoping to at least have a rumbler roll on by.

    Near Northbrook. Pretty impressive looking for an otherwise mediocre storm. This was taken by a friend. Obligatory don’t use your phone when driving but thought it was cool enough to share anyway.

    Somerset had 3 tornado warnings in about 90min. Two after the initial tornado went through and at least the first and second one were a PDS warnings. Can’t imagine the trauma people there went through.

    Definitely. I’m a renter but believe me I walk the property and daydream about the things I’d do if I owned it!

    Took some hail damage here up to ping pong ball size. Van parked in the driveway has a few minor dents but nothing horrible. The winds were strong enough to take down my old rusty flag pole. RIP ol’ gal. I have video of the hail I’ll post later once my internet comes back.

    I find it humorous they issued the watch but they almost specifically said “nope” to lake county lol. I’m sure another one will be issued just looks funny on the map.

    Another fairly impressive marine layer next to the lake again today/tonight. I’d guesstimate about 1/4-1/2mi visibility right now. Go just a few miles inland and it’s clear. Am I weeny enough when fog gets me excited? (And don’t give me shit about my lawn I’m a renter lol) Edit: Way below even 1/4mi now just before midnight. This is really isolated to very close to the lake but pretty impressive. Can’t see the flag at all now in my original pic.

    Been foggy here all day. But go 1mi inland from the lake and it’s clear. Kinda neat!

    Sunset up here was pretty cool especially out over the lake. The sky turned several different shades as the sun went down. Also caught this in Racine just north of the system which was a nice bonus

    Storms were impressive looking but not a single report of a confirmed tornado yikes Edit: I spoke too soon there is one now

    Lots of spotters reporting gustnadoes as tornadoes on the ground rn

    I know STL isn’t discussed here much but this occurred during their last heavy rain. Apparently a fairly widespread issue at the moment.

    Brief pea size hail here. Was hoping for some decent thunder at least but we couldn’t muster that up - not a single rumble. Looked much more intense on radar so my weenie self is a little disappointed but I’ll forgo the hail damage. Oh well, back to work!

    SVR warning is now destructive in Waukesha County

    There was a clear debris signature on that one. Thankfully in a rather unpopulated area. Seems to be cycling now as it heads into more populated areas. Edit: Spotters reporting rain wrapped tor on the ground near Bloomington.
