    We’ve really cashed in the last couple seasons here in Kenosha. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 3in/hr right now visibility is basically zero. Pretty surprising I thought the main band would be well south of here but we’re getting hammered.

    I command you all to just enjoy it but also keep sending videos of the thunder snow lol. So badass. Went from nothing to intense here in Kenosha in minutes. We won’t be under the main bands but still pretty awesome. LE is wild and fun.

    Lake effect is so wild. One place can get 2 feet then a few miles away basically nothing. Don’t envy these meteorologists trying to warn a major city.

    Severe thunderstorm warning forMcHenry and Lake Counties. Been a long time since one was issued in the area.

    More gentile rolling thunder and light rain making my evening. Very peaceful. Perfect Saturday evening to lounge in the screen porch with a book and a beer (or 4) just listening to the rain and thunder. The remaining hummingbirds have been fueling up at my feeder for their journey south. The lake has some decent waves today too (beach hazard statement just expired) after being pretty quiet lately. Great wx day today and my boredom is cured now.

    Managed to get a pretty decent little boomer out here last night. Tiny cell that just happed to go right over me at the right time. Was an absolute downpour for about 10 minutes and some decent c2c lightning with great rolling thunder. That should keep my bitching suppressed for a few days. A nice surprise and a good watering for the grass and plants. I am happy (for now).

    Looks like some changes coming, which I’m happy about. I like the Midwest for the frequently changing weather patterns. Anything to end my boredom at this point. It’s been absolutely perfect and gorgeous weather and yet somehow I’m still unsatisfied. I did not choose to be this way.
