  1. Last night's Euro was great for Central VA, but not as much DC/MD if I recall correctly. Wouldn't a slight/moderate shift north be good for most of the forum?
  2. Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 1039 AM EST Wed Jan 27 2021 MDZ016-017-VAZ052-055-056-502-280130- Charles-St. Marys-Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park-Stafford- Spotsylvania-Southern Fauquier- Including the cities of St. Charles, Waldorf, Lexington Park, California, Dale City, Manassas, Woodbridge, Lake Ridge, Montclair, Falmouth, Fredericksburg, and Turnbull 1039 AM EST Wed Jan 27 2021 ...POTENTIAL WINTER COMMUTING HAZARD FOR THE FAR SOUTHERN SUBURBS OF WASHINGTON DC THURSDAY MORNING... There is a potential for hazardous commuting conditions for the Thursday morning commute. A period of snow showers is POSSIBLE Thursday morning across the far southern suburbs of Washington DC. A light coating of snow is possible on area roads and sidewalks. IF this threat materializes during the Thursday morning rush- hour, many roads could quickly turn icy. This could lead to dangerous traveling conditions, multiple accidents, and extensive delays. If commuting Thursday morning, be aware of the POSSIBILITY of significant travel disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra travel time, and consider using telework options. Stay tuned for updates on this potential winter weather episode.
  3. Forecasts for today in Lynchburg ranged from 57-62 a couple days ago. It barely got over 40 today with persistent low cloudcover.
  4. Love it. it can stay right where it is though ... don't want to wake up to 34 degree rain in Lynchburg on Thursday morning with 6" on the ground back home.
  5. I'd take that, especially since I will be in Lynchburg on the 28th.
  6. 1-2" according to the NAM here for Friday. A light event would be really nice, but honestly I don't expect anything.
  7. Still freezing rain with a few pellets of sleet ... pretty noticable icing on trees.
  8. Precipitation is fairly heavy, but still all sleet here.
  9. I deleted because there has to be a problem with my sensor, as most of the observations in the area on Weather Underground are under 30 degrees.
  10. Looks like a lot of 35 degree rain in Fredericksburg...
  11. 4 inches isn't bad for December, but wow that's quite the cutoff...
  12. Long-time lurker here! Definitely going to be on the margin of rain/snow for this one (as usual on the southern edge of the Mid-Atlantic forum) but hoping for the first significant December snow since ... is it 2009?
